Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacey Heald.
Hi Stacey, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Thank you for having me back, since our last feature, so much has happened, and our mission has only expanded. I’m Stacey Heald, Co-Founder and COO of LeHeal Biogenix®, a Regenerative Medicine and Advanced Cellular Therapy Clinic serving the Greater Tampa Bay area.
I’ve spent more than 20 years in the health, wellness, and franchising sectors, building and scaling medical and performance-driven organizations, always guided by a single belief: true healing should restore the body, not replace it. After watching too many people struggle with chronic pain, orthopedic issues, and aggressive surgical recommendations that often weren’t the best first option, I knew there was a better way. That vision became LeHeal Biogenix®. A place where science, compassion, and innovation meet to help patients heal naturally and get back to life stronger.
Today, LeHeal Biogenix® has grown to multiple locations, including our new state-of-the-art location in Lutz, Florida, and we continue advancing non-surgical therapies that support mobility, longevity, and whole-body wellness. We’re proud to offer stem cell therapy, exosome therapy, PRP, peptide therapy, men’s and women’s sexual wellness, medical aesthetics, IV and wellness injections, and advanced recovery solutions. Every treatment is medically guided, personalized, and rooted in the belief that the body already knows how to heal, we simply activate and support that process.
We have been incredibly fortunate to have Dr. Shelanda C. Hayes, a Board-Certified Family Physician, as part of the LeHeal Biogenix® family for many years. Her compassion, clinical insight, and holistic perspective helped establish the foundation of who we are today. Dr. Hayes has always emphasized empowerment and prevention, encouraging patients to take ownership of their health and recognize that lasting change comes from within. Her integrative approach and commitment to treating the whole person continue to inspire how we deliver care every single day.
Building on that strong foundation, we have strengthened our clinical leadership with Dr. D’Wan Carpenter, DO, a Dual Board-Certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician with advanced expertise in musculoskeletal medicine, functional restoration, and regenerative therapies. Dr. Carpenter leads our medical protocols with an evidence-based approach, specializing in minimally invasive solutions that reduce pain, support tissue regeneration, and preserve joint health. She blends traditional physiatry with advanced biologics, including mesenchymal stem cells, exosomes, PRP, peptides, and joint preservation techniques, always prioritizing long-term mobility and patient empowerment. Her philosophy aligns perfectly with ours: movement is medicine, and healing requires treating the source, not masking symptoms.
We also welcomed Dr. Marissa Oxenford, DPT, to our Clinical Advisory Board. With a background in Sports Orthopedic Rehabilitation, she specializes in post-procedure recovery protocols, functional movement strategies, and optimizing outcomes following regenerative treatments. Dr. Oxenford develops personalized recovery frameworks for patients after biologic injections, because regeneration doesn’t end with a procedure; it begins there. Her expertise ensures that every patient supports cellular healing with proper progression, stability work, and neuromuscular retraining so they recover stronger and avoid re-injury.
In addition to our physicians, we continue to expand our talented team of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, who bring tremendous skill, compassion, and dedication to patient care. Their integrative approach and attention to detail help ensure every treatment plan is tailored, safe, and effective, creating an environment where patients feel supported from consultation through recovery.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like any meaningful endeavor, growth brings challenges. This field is rapidly evolving, and staying ahead means committing to clinical integrity, patient education, regulatory compliance, and ethical medicine. We’ve invested heavily in continued provider development, advanced biologic sourcing, patient-specific treatment planning, and transparent, outcome-driven care. We don’t believe in shortcuts. We believe in science, accountability, and compassionate leadership.
LeHeal Biogenix® was founded on a core principle – that regenerative medicine should be accessible to everyone, not just the rich and famous. Our goal has always been to provide affordable options that help patients feel better, with treatment plans tailored to their individual needs and within their budgets.
That mission, however, comes with its challenges. Like with many other businesses, we’ve faced rising costs and inflationary pressures. But we’re committed to ensuring those challenges never compromise our values or the quality of care we deliver. Instead, we continuously adapt – focusing on strategic and efficient operations, re-evaluating expenses, and finding creative ways to make sure patients continue to receive the highest level of care without financial barriers.
At the end of the day, our determination to make regenerative medicine both effective and accessible is what drives us to keep overcoming these obstacles – without ever sacrificing quality.
We’ve been impressed with LeHeal Biogenix, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What I’m most proud of, beyond our growth and clinical success, is seeing the transformation in our patients’ lives. Many come to us after being told surgery was their only option – and today, they’re back to doing the things they love. Whether it’s running again, traveling without pain, playing with their grandchildren, or simply moving through daily life with confidence and ease, those moments remind us why we do what we do. From athletes focused on recovery and performance to individuals striving for longevity and a better quality of life, being part of their comeback stories is what inspires us every single day.
As we look ahead, our vision continues to grow. We are expanding our sexual health and wellness programs, deepening our aesthetic regenerative offerings, broadening performance-focused recovery services, and preparing for additional locations in the region. The future of medicine is regenerative, restorative, and patient-centered, and our goal is to make Tampa Bay a premier destination for those seeking non-surgical orthopedic care, longevity medicine, cellular anti-aging therapies, and advanced wellness solutions.
Thank you again for the opportunity to share our evolution. At LeHeal Biogenix®, our mission remains unchanged: to help people feel better, heal better, and get back to doing what they love most.
