Life & Work with Charity Brown of Tampa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Charity Brown.

Hi Charity, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story is really about redemption and growing into who God actually called me to be. I’ve never been the ‘good girl’ I got in trouble a lot as a kid, as a teen, and even in my early adult years. I came from a very toxic environment, and without realizing it, I made a lot of decisions that weren’t the best because I was just trying to survive.

But over the last couple of years, the Lord has shown me that I’m not defined by what I experienced. It was just a chapter a stepping stone toward my real purpose. And at my core, I genuinely try my best to live in a state of love, because that’s what has helped me heal and grow.

That journey is what led me to start my YouTube channel, Everbloom ‘where faith flourishes, growth is constant, and Jesus is the root.’ Through the Womanhood Series and the conversations I host, I’m creating the kind of space I always needed: honest, faith-led, and reminding women that we are all so much more than we think.

I see it expanding beyond YouTube into community, events, and deeper conversations that help women bloom in every season. I’m just grateful to be walking in what God called me to.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Honestly, for a long time I was just looking for love in all the wrong places. That’s what led me into toxic relationships, situations that drained me, and habits that I used to cope. As a teen I smoked weed a lot just to numb myself, and even as I got older, I kept trying to fill a void I didn’t even know how to explain.

But none of it worked. None of it filled me. The only one who ever actually met me in that emptiness was Jesus. I hit such a low point that I couldn’t blame anybody else anymore not my childhood, not my environment, not the people around me. I had to sit with God and sit with the results of my own decisions.

That was the turning point. That’s where I learned accountability, healing, and grace. And even though the road wasn’t smooth, it shaped me into who I am now someone who actually wants better, chooses better, and leads from a place of truth and love.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
So most of my work happens through my YouTube channel and podcast, especially through my series called the Womanhood Series. That’s where I sit down with people and have real, honest conversations about life, faith, healing, mistakes, and growth. I’m known for being able to ask the hard questions not to get ‘tea,’ not for drama, but because I genuinely care. My questions come from within. I really listen, I pay attention, and I see the person sitting in front of me.

What I’m most proud of is being able to take my own mistakes and turn them into lessons not just for me, but for others. And I’m grateful for the trust people have in me. So many people share their real stories with me, and I don’t take that lightly.

I think what sets me apart is that I truly see myself in the people I interview in their mistakes, their experiences, their lessons learned. And because of that, the conversations are deeper. They’re healing. My favorite part is that everyone involved gets healed in some way: the guest heals by telling their story, the viewer heals by realizing they’re not alone, and I heal by asking the genuine questions I’ve always needed answers to.

That’s why I do what I do to create spaces where honesty and healing can actually happen.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Honestly, the most important quality behind my success is my heart specifically my ability to love deeply and see people clearly. I don’t go into conversations trying to impress anyone or get something out of them. I go in with compassion, honesty, and a willingness to really understand people.

Another big quality is self‑awareness. I’ve made mistakes, I’ve lived life, and I don’t hide that. I think being honest about where I’ve been helps me relate to people in a real way. And it keeps me grounded I never want to lose that.

And lastly, my consistency in choosing growth. Even when it’s uncomfortable, even when I have to face myself, I always come back to learning, healing, and doing better. That’s what allows me to create safe spaces for others to do the same.
