Daily Inspiration: Meet Storm Tentler

Today we’d like to introduce you to Storm Tentler.

Hi Storm, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Wild Ginger Apothecary was never just a business to me, it was a calling. When I first walked through its doors years ago, something in me recognized it as home. I remember saying that if I ever owned a business, it would be this one- and in the most serendipitous way, that vision found me. What began as a personal journey into holistic wellness and conscious living has evolved into the gift of offering a community sanctuary for healing, creativity, and connection.

Today, as owner of Wild Ginger Apothecary and founder of Ritual Style, my hope is to help others reconnect with their highest selves by living each day consciously. I believe that high-vibrational living isn’t about perfection- it’s about intention. It’s about showing up authentically, choosing what nourishes you, and creating beauty and meaning even in the smallest moments. The intention I breathe into this work is to offer an invitation for people to see everyday life as a ritual — a practice of (and choosing) intention, beauty, and meaning in the ordinary.

Inside our Sarasota space, we blend retail with ritual — from thoughtfully sourced crystals, jewelry, and botanical products to transformative classes, readings, and healing sessions. Every detail is curated to raise the vibration and remind people of their own power to create beauty, balance, and meaning in daily life.

At its heart, this work is about embracing everyday and discovering that life itself can become sacred when we embody who we are, honor what brings us joy, and live with intention.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but it’s been a sacred one. When I stepped into ownership of Wild Ginger Apothecary, I learned pretty quickly that running a heart-centered business takes a lot more than good intentions. There’ve been seasons of uncertainty, hurricanes that have tested our resilience, and times when the numbers just didn’t make sense on paper- and yet, somehow, the purpose has carried us through.

Balancing entrepreneurship, motherhood, and my own spiritual growth has been one of the biggest lessons of my life. There are moments I have felt stretched so thin, trying to hold space for everyone else while still showing up for myself and my family. The word I keep coming back to, and one we often remind our community of is grace. To generously give yourself grace when things feel messy, imperfect, or heavy. I’ve had to remind myself of that truth over and over: the same softness, patience, and compassion I encourage others to find, I also have to extend to myself.

In a way, every challenge has carried an element of rebirth; storms that cleared space for something truer, endings that have made way for new beginnings and breakdowns that have ended up really being breakthroughs. Each test has brought me closer to the essence of why I do this work: to create spaces where people can feel grounded, connected, and reminded that even in chaos, there’s beauty, meaning and the chance to realign your life.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
At its core, my work is about creating spaces that help people remember who they really are. Wild Ginger Apothecary began as a boutique focused on holistic wellness, but over the years it’s evolved into something much deeper- a hub where energy, beauty, and consciousness collide and alchemize.

We curate everything with intention, from ethically sourced crystals, botanicals, and jewelry to ritual tools, natural apothecary items, and plant-based elixirs. But what we’re truly known for is the feeling people experience when they walk through the door. There’s an energy here that’s grounding and elevated at the same time. Whether someone comes in for a reading, a sound bath, or just to browse, they often say they leave feeling calmer, lighter, and more themselves.

Sometimes I joke that I don’t have any one specific “talent” beyond holding the vision, but I’ve come to realize that is the gift. I’m the vessel that allows it all to flow- the one who gathers the people, energy, and elements that make the space what it is. My strength is in seeing potential, weaving connections, and creating an environment where others can shine, heal, and feel seen.

What sets us apart is that we see wellness as more than self-care: it’s soul-care. Every offering, from our retail curation to our events and classes, is designed to raise vibration and reconnect people to intention. I’m proud that we’ve built a space that feels authentic and alive, not overly polished or performative- just real, heart-led connection.

Through Ritual Style, I’m expanding that philosophy into lifestyle and weaving ritual into design, aesthetics, and daily living. It’s the natural extension of everything we do at Wild Ginger Apothecary: helping people create lives, homes, and moments that reflect their energy and purpose.

I’m most proud of the community that’s formed around this work, the healers, artists, teachers, and customers who bring their own light to the space. Together, we’ve created something that’s not just a store, but a movement toward living everyday as a ritual.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
People often assume that I’m always the connector -the one who’s comfortable being front and center but I’m actually so much more introspective and shy than I appear! I love people deeply, but I also need a lot of quiet to refill my own well. A lot of what I do comes from years of self-work and turning inward, not from naturally wanting to be in the spotlight.

What tends to surprise people most is my background. I grew up in a family that owned a funeral home, and from a young age I helped with everything on the front and back end of that. It gave me a deep empathy for people and an understanding of how precious life is , and how to walk toward pain instead of turning away from it. That perspective has shaped so much of how I hold space for others now.

Before Wild Ginger Apothecary, I feel like I lived a hundred lives- I’ve been a bartender, worked in real estate, and spent years navigating the world of autism recovery. All of it taught me compassion, adaptability, and how to meet people where they are.

Beneath all the crystals and intention candles, I’m very human. I’m spiritual, yes, but also the woman who forgets her supplements, eats too many carbs, and pours a glass of wine on a Monday night. I straddle both worlds- the mystical and the messy and I think that’s what keeps me real!
