Today we’d like to introduce you to Karla Perez.
Hi Karla, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Karla Perez, and I was born and raised in Naples, Florida. I was never a follower growing up or a rule follower. I always wanted to do my own thing, and I knew that I wanted more than the traditional career life. I was never one to fit in wherever I went because I knew I wasn’t made to fit, which led me to where I am today. I went to Florida Gulf Coast University and got a bachelor’s in Communications. Then I got my dream job opportunity and started working at a marketing agency as a social media coordinator, which is where I found my true passion. Helping businesses stand out in the social media world. After leaving that job, I took some time to explore other avenues, but the only thing that felt right was starting my own marketing agency. Creative Cultura Marketing is a full-service marketing agency that doesn’t just post content but creates strategies and develops content that drives business growth. I decided to go all in , into building this marketing agency. We are currently in year two, and we recently expanded our team. I love all things marketing, and I love helping businesses stand out in marketing. All of our strategies and goals are unique to the brand, as well as the content. Now, we serve all of Southwest Florida and travel across the state to help any business that needs our help. My business allows me to be as creative as possible, and while we don’t look like every marketing agency, that’s the point. I always wanted to make sure we stand out from the rest, that we make marketing not only effective but fun!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Most definitely, it has been difficult with many obstacles. From rejection emails to phone calls and countless “no’s,” there were many times I felt like giving up. I had taken my savings and poured everything into building Creative Cultura Marketing, so there was no going back. People didn’t believe in me, whether it was because of my experience or my age. It was a struggle to get clients to see my vision. Yet, I believed in my marketing agency and in the impact we could make by helping businesses grow and stand out through our marketing strategies. So, in true Karla fashion,I made a way, I decided to start offering free or discounted rates to build a bigger portfolio, which worked, and those businesses started referring me. It was a struggle the first year, sometimes only making a couple of hundred dollars a month, but I knew it would have to pay off eventually. And it helped to have a dad who believed in me and my dreams. Every time I wanted to give up, he would tell me to keep on going, that the hard was going to be part of it, and that success is never easy, but it would be worth it. Owning a business is about having determination, drive, patience, dedication, and not being scared of failure.

Creative Cultura Marketing is a full-service marketing agency, meaning we are a one-stop shop for businesses, which is what truly sets us apart. We offer social media marketing and management, content creation, branding, Google Ads, business photography and videography, website management, and email marketing. We have a team dedicated to helping your business with all things marketing. We are able to stand out because of our unique marketing approach. All of our work reflects each business and its brand. We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
When I was in middle school, I went to a performing arts school, and I was in plays and dance shows. My family was always there supporting me at every show and performance. Without a doubt I would look out to the crowd and see my family there cheering me on. Which is something they still do today with my business. I honestly think this is one of the main reasons why, through all the difficulties of owning a marketing agency, I’m still standing because of my family’s endless support.
