Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaiden Gray.
Hi Jaiden , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have been in love with rhythm, tunes and harmonies since I was little but never started to take it seriously and commit to the music because I had no purpose for it but I knew I wanted to make a difference in a positive way whatever I did it would be positive so around my sophomore year of high school I started making music about how I felt as a release for my emotions and thoughts and the only other person I would show my music too is one of my closest friends Blake jones and because we both attended Blake high school for the performing arts we both had a grasp of performance and musicality but were lacking a purpose and as we would make music together and just living in the music I was going through some family troubles and mental troubles until I found my church family and I found god and got saved my senior year and being free from the bondage of the enemy and following god gave me a purpose and I felt god was talking me my music is my purpose for him so now I make Christian Rap, R&B and soul music to show the world who my god is and what he can do
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There has definitely been bumpy roads such as Financial constraints & the fear of not being able to do what I need to but by the grace of God I am able to walk in full confidence that it will be okay. And God will provide.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Christian artists, My creative writing & music is delivered with the hopes that people will experience Jesus through my music & have a come to Christ moment. I am known for a lot of things it just depends on who you ask. I’m a worship leader at my church, a musician, an actor & a teacher. I am most proud of the support I have because a lot of people are not as fortunate to have the family I have around me helping me get to where I want to be an where god needs me to be . I feel the thing that sets me apart from others is my passion whenever I get on stage I am not only performing for the audience but for God and myself for a sense of honor to show my god that what he has given me is not being put to waste. An when I perform I put all of myself before the lord and let him speak through me.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
My advice would be to communicate with everyone you see and meet an be a good person to everyone because you never know who will see you later in life . That has worked really well for me just being respectful and just trying to show love
