Today we’d like to introduce you to Vito Ameruoso.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Been Performing music since middle school in the orchestra playing Trumpet, then decided with my 3 biological brothers to start a band and go professional after high school. While owning a family business in advertising we worked gigs and shows climbing the ladder of success. Having big clients with our company, we had done work for Pat Cooper, Tony Danza, Areosmith, Jay Black & the Americans, Tommy James etc. Our father had a great relationship with these folks and struck a meeting with Jay about our band and needing major management. Success we signed with Jay Black for management and we were creating a brand for our band ” Ameruoso” signed with Tony Martel of CBS Records & having success being a professional rock band on a major label, we landed a #19 spot on the Top 20 Billboard charts in the UK while on tour with Joan Jett & the Black hearts. Having been on tour with major acts & recording albums in Million dollar studios it was a wild ride! Success is nice , but some of the downfall was coming as well. Having to divorce ourselves from our manager Jay Black we now wound up with the Billy Joel management group, at that time we had several hits and videos no MTV. Life is a roller coaster ride sometimes you stay on the ride for more thrills, and sometimes it comes to an end ! My time with my brothers was wonderful and great memories made, but now I continue my music career professionally as a Elvis and Frankie Valli Tribute Artist, I also own the well know Dance Tribute Band TAT2. The band is full of Professional musicians and an Amazing team! Maria Williams on Vocals & Percussion, Rich Hamilton on Bass & Vocals, Ken Trapp on Drums, Vito Ameruoso on Guitar and lead Vocals 7 Front man for the group. Having been Blessed with a Talent of music and song, and to make folks smile and bring them back to a place when we all had youth on our side is a thing in life I wouldn’t trade for anything! Success is what you make of your talent and so many others are in different degrees, only to be absorbed by the fans who always want one more encore song ! God has blessed me with this gift and I am Humbled! As the saying goes.. “I may be old , but I saw some really cool Bands”
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s never a smooth ride, between Financial stresses with management and IOU’s to record labels after success comes calling, loosing and changing management, tour support struggles and tour manager problems, production team creative differences.. you never have a career without challenges. But the beauty of life is that music is soulful and Life itself, A song to be sung and danced to. So, is it worth some of the bumps and bruises you’ll get along the way ? Yes!
I remember when we lost the CBS record label, because our manager owed 1.5 million in his personal taxes was a big major problem for our group. The label didn’t want any association with him, so they removed Ameruoso from the label, even after legally firing our manager, But we recovered quickly on a label in the UK.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Ameruoso music productions, provides a wide variety of options from Tribute shows to dance band shows. We perform only indoor shows, Yacht clubs, country clubs, Fraternal & Veterans Lodges, Theaters and Ticked shows, Tribute restaurants etc. We provide Elvis Presley and Frankie Valli Tribute shows with the TCB Band ” The Cadillac Band” The dance band TAT2 ” Total Audio Tribute” performs standard music hits from the 50’s on through today , Tributes the top 10 hits of yesterday. We are Elite we will never perform in street clothes, we are very professionally dressed, with Amazing suites and costumes & Maria’s dresses like no other, we are very proud to say that our presentation is the first WOW! then comes the Amazing sound quality with our sound & music! We always rise above to bring the crowds the very best, so they want to come back for more.

A lot of people don’t even know of my past history or life as a professional in music. Sometimes people don’t bother to get intimate and read about your life’s journey and they miss out on all of what I accomplished in life. I’ve made the grade and built a brand with my band & name, and the difference is the experience and all the Legends that had helped me to the success in Professional music. Yes, some others, less fortunate, may not have had that opportunity, but this is what separates me from the others. They simply missed the fine print LOL! I Love to pay it Forward in Life , People miss out on the fact that we always are out there donating our time to help raise money for Breast Cancer & St. Jude , 2 of my favorite institutes. This year alone we raised $15,300 for breast cancer & last year we raised $9,500 for St. Jude. We like folks to know we are trying to make a difference in some ones life for some who are less fortunate and need help, through our music we can do this.
