Meet Jason Bergeron of Bergeys Coffee Co.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Bergeron.

Jason, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My wife and I moved from Michigan and quickly noticed a need for a coffee shop in our new community. We’ve always had a passion for coffee and the connections it creates, so we thought, “let’s do it!” We started our journey with a coffee truck, and what began as a small idea has grown into something so meaningful. Through serving coffee, we’ve built wonderful relationships and have become deeply rooted in the Venice, FL community. Watching people connect and create memories over their daily cup has been the most rewarding part of this adventure. We’re now excited to take the next step and open our first brick-and-mortar location. We look forward to continue to grow, serve, and share our love for coffee and community.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We quickly realized that being a business owner is definitely not a smooth road! There have been plenty of obstacles along the way. For instance the unique challenges that come with operating out of a truck to the lengthy rezoning process we’re currently navigating to open our brick-and-mortar location. But even though the journey hasn’t been easy, we wouldn’t trade it for anything. Every challenge has stretched us, taught us, and reminded us why we started in the first place. We truly believe God led us to this, and we’re so thankful for how He continues to guide us. Nothing worthwhile comes without its challenges, and we’ve learned so much through every one of them.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
At Bergeys Coffee Co., we’re all about connection, community, and great coffee. What started as a small coffee truck has become a space where people gather, slow down, and feel at home. We specialize in crafting high-quality coffee roasted by Bergeron Roasters, our second business that we opened earlier this year, as well as our house-made syrups from high quality ingredients.

What truly sets us apart is the heart behind what we do. Whether it’s remembering someone’s usual order, offering a warm smile, or seeing friendships form at our window, it’s those everyday interactions that drive us to do what we do.

We’re proud to be known for both our attention to quality and our genuine relationships with our customers. As we prepare to open our first brick-and-mortar location, our goal is to continue building a space that feels like a second home.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned is that growth takes patience and persistence. Things rarely happen as quickly or easily as you imagine, but every challenge along the way shapes you and your business for the better. We’ve learned to trust God’s timing, stay adaptable, and keep showing up even when things feel uncertain. This journey has reminded us that success isn’t just about reaching a goal; it’s about the people you meet, the lessons you learn, and the faith you build along the way.
