Today we’d like to introduce you to Sebastien Leduc.
Hi Sebastien, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve been an entrepreneur for as long as I can remember, but my first true business hiring employees and serving clients at a bigger scale was a home improvement company during my college years. While doing door to door in the freezing cold in the middle of January wasn’t my favorite, growing that business taught me immensely about selling to clients and building a crew. After my business degree at one of Montreal’s top universities, I went into Tech Sales and eventually hired & coached over 100 representatives from Toronto to Atlanta, with territories covering the entire East Coast. I figured everything I learned building a $2B IT company could be offered to early stage businesses in an expedited & efficient format – Espresso was born.
Since 2015, I’ve accompanied just under 300 business founders in their growth strategy, gradually becoming a top resource in the North East. During that time, my wife and I built a real estate portfolio & other ventures which we exited by 2021, solidifying our move South to the place where we vacationed – Naples.
Continuing on my journey to work with great entrepreneurs reach exceptional outcomes, I’ve decided to start Naples Tech Meetup in 2025 to expand my impact in the new region I call home. Grateful to benefit from an incredible momentum from the community, the future is bright connecting Capital, Innovation and Executives throughout South Florida & the rest of America. Today, I hold advisory roles in multiple ventures, and enjoy our tropical paradise with my family of five.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s never a straight line.
The last decade has been filled with multiple challenges, from building the portfolio to the incredibly tough journey of exiting it, paying our dues and obtaining our visa for the move from Canada to America.
Most of my career has been built on transactions happening, and most of the money comes when those get through the finish line. Which means – the bigger the deal – the bigger the problems can be.
I’ve enjoyed every step of the journey but it has definitely been a roller coaster of a ride, often times having direct involvement to help a business in a dire situation, helping reposition it to success.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My advisory firm focuses on helping founders of Tech companies reach ambitious goals and produce exceptional outcomes.
I couldn’t get to where I am today without an incredible team of top-performing entrepreneurs and executives, from Fortune 50 C-Levels to a multitude of exited founders that are now looking to get involved in what’s next.
One of my major ventures is a Dev+AI Studio with 50 expert resources in Canada & America, delivering high performance in a variety of use cases from motorsports technology to VC-backed applications changing how entire industries are done.
What matters most to you? Why?
My big why is changing the world with innovation.
I also think life’s too short to settle for less then exceptional, that the world is in dire need of great leadership and that we need to own the change we want to see.
