Today we’d like to introduce you to Cecilia Caballeros.
Hi Cecilia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Seven Coffee and Pastries was born in a moment of transition after the pandemic—a time that inspired reflection and new beginnings. What started as an idea soon became a heartfelt project rooted in our Guatemalan heritage and love for meaningful connections.
Coming from Guatemala, where coffee is a symbol of warmth and community, we wanted to share that same spirit here. At Seven, we proudly serve smooth Guatemalan coffee, pastries, cheesecakes alongside our handcrafted Chilean-style empanadas.
Our empanadas trace their origin back to Grandma’s kitchen, where we learned the value of family and tradition. Each flavor we offer is a tribute to our passion for good food and an inventive touch in the kitchen. Thanks to our partnership with Bar Harbor Cheescake Co. our empanadas are as of now, served in our Coffee Shop.
At Seven, we believe every cup tells a story—a story of home, love, and the joy of sharing something truly good.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Every new endeavor comes with its challenges. For us, it meant getting to know our clients—understanding what they love, what schedule best fits our community, and working hard to reach that point of balance every small business dreams of.
Along the way, we stayed true to our vision: to bring people together, to create a welcoming space where the community could enjoy good coffee and delicious empanadas. We want to be a place where our neighbors can come together and feel connected.
Today, seeing familiar faces return again and again reminds us that every struggle was worth it. We’re deeply grateful to our loyal patrons who make the journey lighter and inspire us to keep growing with joy and purpose.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
For over 40 years, My husband and I dedicated our life to Christian Ministry serving people and building a sense of community back home in Guatemala.
When we came to the U.S., we wanted to continue that same spirit of service in a new way. That’s how the idea of our coffee shop was born—a place where people could come together, share a smile, enjoy good coffee and empanadas, and feel a little closer to home.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
We want to thank our community and FLorida for embracing us with so much kindness and support. Our greatest joy is seeing people come together over a good cup of coffee and a warm empanada.
We’re deeply grateful to our loyal patrons and to everyone who has made Seven feel like a home away from home. As we continue to grow, our mission remains the same: to offer a space filled with warmth, good coffee, good food, and good company
