Today we’d like to introduce you to Josefine Holmberg.
Hi Josefine, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in Sweden, and my journey into health and fitness started long before I ever stepped into a gym. Growing up, I faced serious health challenges — including celiac disease and later Lyme disease — that forced me to really learn how to listen to my body. At first, fitness was about survival and healing. But over time, it became my passion and purpose.
In December 2015, I decided to take a huge leap and move to Los Angeles. I didn’t know exactly what would happen — I just knew I wanted to grow, learn, and challenge myself. I enrolled in courses at UCLA Extension in fitness, real estate, and even entertainment business, which helped me expand both personally and professionally. Moving to LA completely changed my life.
Today, I work as a personal trainer, massage therapist, and online coach, helping clients all over the world feel strong, healthy, and confident. I’ve had the opportunity to train amazing people — from everyday individuals to actors, music producers, and artists — often helping them prepare for film roles or performances. I love watching people push past what they thought was possible and realize how strong they really are.
Along the way, I also started competing in bikini fitness, which became another outlet for me to test my limits and grow. Winning first-place titles in both Europe and the U.S. has been incredibly rewarding, but what I value most is the mindset and discipline that the sport has given me.
For me, health is so much more than physical appearance. It’s about longevity, energy, balance, and mindset. I truly believe that when we take care of our bodies and minds, everything else in life starts to align.
My journey hasn’t been easy — moving across the world, rebuilding my life, and overcoming illness took courage and consistency. But I’ve learned that stepping outside your comfort zone is where growth really happens. I’ve been lucky to have incredible inspiration along the way, including mentors like Arnold Schwarzenegger, who taught me the importance of vision, discipline, and persistence.
Today, my mission is to help as many people as possible become stronger — physically, mentally, and emotionally. Because I know firsthand that when you change your body, you change your life.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all — my journey hasn’t been a smooth road, and in many ways, the challenges I faced shaped who I am today.
Growing up, I struggled with celiac disease and later Lyme disease, which made even everyday activities more difficult. I had to learn early on how to listen to my body, adjust my lifestyle, and prioritize my health — something many people don’t think about until later in life. Those experiences taught me resilience and patience, but they also came with frustration and moments of doubt.
Moving to Los Angeles in 2015 was another big challenge. I was leaving behind my home, my friends, and my familiar surroundings for a completely new life in a different country. Learning a new language, navigating a new culture, and building a career from scratch wasn’t easy. There were moments of loneliness, uncertainty, and fear of failure.
Even in my fitness career, the road hasn’t been perfect. Competing in bikini fitness, building my personal training business, and coaching high-profile clients all required countless hours of work, discipline, and sacrifice. There were setbacks — injuries, self-doubt, and moments when results didn’t come as quickly as I hoped.
But every struggle taught me something valuable: patience, perseverance, and the importance of mindset. I’ve learned that obstacles aren’t roadblocks — they’re opportunities to grow stronger, smarter, and more determined. Today, I see those challenges as the foundation of my strength, both in life and in fitness.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work is all about helping people become the strongest, healthiest, and most confident versions of themselves — physically, mentally, and emotionally. I work as a personal trainer, massage therapist, and online coach, and I specialize in strength training, functional fitness, and preparing clients for performance or competition. I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of people, from everyday clients looking to improve their health to actors, artists, and music producers preparing for roles or performances.
I’m most proud of the transformations I get to witness — not just in how someone looks, but in how they feel and how they carry themselves. Helping someone build confidence, overcome self-doubt, and achieve goals they didn’t think were possible is incredibly rewarding. Winning first-place titles in bikini fitness competitions is also something I value, but the real pride comes from knowing I’ve guided others to unlock their potential.
What sets me apart is my holistic, results-driven approach. I don’t just focus on appearances — I focus on health, longevity, mindset, and sustainable habits. Every program I create is tailored to the individual’s body, goals, and lifestyle. I combine my personal experience overcoming health challenges with professional expertise to create plans that are both effective and empowering.
I also believe in the importance of mentorship and inspiration. Having mentors like Arnold Schwarzenegger has shaped my approach to discipline, vision, and pushing limits, and I try to pass that forward in the way I work with my clients. For me, success isn’t just about results — it’s about helping others see their own strength and potential, and guiding them to achieve it.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
There are several ways people can work with me, collaborate, or support my work.
For personal training and coaching, I offer both in-person sessions in St Petersburg or Tampa and online coaching for clients anywhere in the world. I work with people at all levels — whether you’re just starting your fitness journey, preparing for a competition, or looking to reach peak performance for a specific goal.
I’m also open to collaborations with brands, creators, and other professionals in fitness, wellness, or lifestyle. I love partnering with those who share my passion for health, empowerment, and inspiring others to live their best lives.
The easiest way to connect is through my social media or email, where I share updates, tips, and ways to work together. Supporting me can also come in the form of engaging with my content, sharing my work, or referring someone who could benefit from coaching. Every interaction helps me continue doing what I love — helping people feel strong, confident, and healthy.
