Hi Stacey, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Divorced single Mother in my early 20s due to religion and discrimination; floundered for years just trying to survive and not having healthy guidance to succeed; finally graduated USF at 42yo with no one at my graduation celebrating an accomplishment that I worked very hard for; second career law; admitted Stetson University College of Law when I was 43yo with a 3yo; commuted 3 hours 3 nights a week for 4 years; suffered major car accident less than a week after law school graduation and suffered a major concussion; spent the next 8 years trying to pass a Bar exam as it affected my long-term memory of large volumes of text; after years of struggling again as a divorced single mother, googled how to memorize and found www.MagneticMemoryMethod.com…guru Anthony Metivier saved me…finally passed the FL Bar exam in sections; opened my law office in July 2020; after several difficult years established my law office 7/1/23 and have been practicing and growing my business and absolutely LOVE what I do….helping people build, preserve, and pass on a legacy; honoring one’s “last voice” is what I am passionate about; and also passionate about the foster/orphan population as they need to know when they turn 18, the world is their oyster….one is NOT defined by the family one is born into.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?

I am an integrity-driven transactional attorney providing legal services in: Estate Planning & Administration (Wills, Trusts, recommendations for Business Documents & Succession Planning), Guardianship, Personal Injury (auto, motorcycle, malpractice, securities), Probate, and Real Estate. As a former Executive Assistant to C-level officers in Manhattan, and former financial advisor working with the legal review department of financial institutions and a major bank, I am extremely dedicated to helping people build, preserve, and pass on a legacy; ensuring their “voice” and wishes are honored is what I am passionate about. I founded a social awareness online cookie store company, www.staceyssandcastlecookies.com, in honor of my Mother who was born into foster care in NYC and orphaned at 13 years old.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I am told my Mother did not know what to do with me because I had so much energy. Before my parents split up when I was in 4th grade, I participated in gymnastics, dance, tennis, swimming, and piano lessons. Once they split up, that all went away….unfortunately, the multi-million dollar business my Father and Mother had built after my Father was kicked out of a major conglomerate (Accurate Forming in northern NJ where he was one of the 4 founding partners) bankrupted within 2 years after their split due to his alcoholism. That is why I love what I do…had my parents had a lawyer like me, I would have protected their assets with their estate planning so that their divorce would not have financially ruined both of them. Had they had me as their attorney, they both would have lived different lives and left a beautiful, wonderful legacy to their children and grandchildren and so on.
From 4th grade on, I was a loner, spent hours in the library reading, and worked Monday through Saturday from 10-5pm at the local public beach summer months with my God-parents in their food truck/concession stand. I developed a very good work ethic as a young child. My interests were always Jesus, Abraham Lincoln, gardens, architecture, and being kind and helping others.
