Juan Henriquez shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Juan, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The very first thing I do when I open my eyes is take 15 minutes to sit in silence, breathe, and thank God for the basics—sight, sound, movement, the ability to feel and speak. It grounds me before the chaos of creation begins. After that, I’ll have a light breakfast and head to the gym for about an hour. For me, that’s not just “working out,” it’s checking off one of the biggest goals I have in life: longevity.
I’ve learned that if I start the day with clarity, movement, and gratitude, the rest of the day bends to that energy. By the time I’m done with my morning routine, I’ve already won the day—everything else is just art, design, and flow stacked on top of it.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
By trade, I design brands. By passion, I paint. Over the past 20 years, I’ve been building identities from the ground up—logos, websites, campaigns, you name it. If someone walks in with just an idea, I can transform it into a complete brand ecosystem in less than two weeks. To date, I’ve helped more than 400 clients bring their visions to life and launched over 100 online businesses.
My work often gravitates toward high-profile projects. I’ve created experiences for the 50th Anniversary of the Lamborghini Countach with Luxury Rally Club, built decks for Formula 1 events with Impact Media, developed campaigns for Miami Curated, and designed event identities for Rolling Hills Country Club. I’ve even helped craft the image for a TV show with Proximity—and that’s just a glimpse.
Two years ago, I expanded my vision by founding The Good Feel Company, adding seasoned graphic designers and former Facebook Ads specialists to my team. Together, we don’t just design pretty brands—we engineer revenue. In the past two years alone, we’ve helped our clients generate over $3 million in new business.
And then, there’s painting—my personal meditation. What started as a hobby turned into something much bigger. Each of my 1-of-1 canvases is a story, a memory, an experience captured. I’ve sold more than 200 original works, and with each one, I’ve had the honor of connecting deeply with collectors who carry a piece of my expression into their lives.
At the end of the day, whether it’s a brand or a painting, I’m obsessed with transformation—turning ideas, emotions, or raw potential into something people can feel.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
I truly believe God has placed the right people in my path at the right time, each one helping me shape who I’ve become. If I had to choose just a few, the first would be my mom. She believed in me even when my decisions looked risky from the outside—like dropping out of college to chase this dream. She never questioned my path; she just supported me with quiet strength and faith.
The second is Alba, my girlfriend, my best friend, and my partner in crime. She’s been by my side through the highs and lows, celebrating with me when things go well and lifting me when life gets heavy. She has this way of knowing exactly what to say, exactly what to do, and exactly when to do it. To me, she’s a God-sent angel, and I’ll always be grateful for the way she’s believed in me even in moments I didn’t fully believe in myself.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Absolutely—more than once. Entrepreneurship isn’t just hard; it’s brutal at times. There are moments where you’re staring at numbers that don’t make sense, when the economy dips and clients pull back, and the thought of giving up sneaks into your mind. The only thing that kept me going was faith—faith in God, faith in my vision, and faith that perseverance always pays off.
One of the toughest chapters came right after the pandemic. We experienced a massive shift. Revenue dropped lower than it had ever been, and for the first time, I felt the real possibility that everything I had built might slip away. At the same time, entire industries were being reshaped by blockchain and artificial intelligence. I realized quickly that if we didn’t evolve, we’d become obsolete—just another “nice-to-have” luxury in a world moving too fast to wait for us.
So instead of giving up, we leaned all the way in. My team and I invested months into learning, experimenting, and integrating new technologies. We explored Ethereum and Solana, we restructured workflows with AI, and we positioned ourselves not just to survive but to ride the new waves of innovation. Those six months were the hardest of my career—financially and mentally. We lost money, time, and sleep. But what we gained was priceless: adaptability, resilience, and proof that reinvention is the lifeline of every entrepreneur.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest lies is pretending that blockchain isn’t the future and that AI is just hype. It reminds me of the 90s when people dismissed the internet as a fad. Looking back, that denial wasn’t just naive—it was costly.
Blockchain might not be everyone’s “today,” but it is definitely tomorrow. The younger generations have been adapting to it since its birth, and ignoring it now is like ignoring the early signals of a cultural and economic shift. The same goes for AI. Every week we’re seeing companies restructure, letting go of hundreds of employees because AI can deliver faster, cheaper, and—sometimes—better. It’s not a trend; it’s a tidal wave.
Robots, algorithms, and automation are reshaping industries at a pace most people still underestimate. And here’s the hard truth: those who refuse to adapt will be left behind. My philosophy has always been simple—evolve with the times, don’t fight them. Blockchain and AI aren’t going anywhere. They’re only going to get stronger, and those who learn how to harness them will be the ones writing the future instead of struggling to catch up to it.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
They’d miss my vision. Not just the ability to design something beautiful, but the clarity I bring to their ideas. My role goes beyond logos and color palettes—it’s about helping people see their future laid out in front of them, not as a dream, but as something tangible and measurable.
When I work with clients, I don’t just sketch concepts; I run numbers, dig into demographics, and show them where their audience actually lives and breathes. Then I translate all of that into a brand that builds trust—what I call the “trust bridge”—between them and their customers.
It’s not about guessing. It’s about using a blueprint I’ve refined over two decades, coupled with a deep understanding of online marketing, to connect vision with execution. If I retired tomorrow, my clients wouldn’t just miss a designer—they’d miss the lens that allows them to clearly see what’s possible for their brand and how to get there.
