We recently had the chance to connect with Christy Maldonado and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Christy , we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
In the morning I read the Bible and pray to connect with God. That helps me stay steady and focused on the right things throughout my day! I then make my bed which is important. There’s a great commencement speech you can Google which talks about this from a high up Military person. Finally I take vitamins and eat breakfast. Many people skip this but staying healthy is so impactful to my business.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Christy Maldonado and my business is Social Media Marketing by Christy Maldonado.
I’m a comprehensive marketing firm that is celebrating almost 12 years in business.
I am passionate about the helping business owners achieve great results while staying healthy and balanced for the long run
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
Definitely my parents saw me and my potential before I ever saw it in myself. To that end, they molded me to be an independent, hard worker who never gives up but keeps pressing forward no matter what obstacles present themselves.
What’s something you changed your mind about after failing hard?
Failing turned out to be a building block – not the end. It taught me to be resourceful and get up, dust myself off and reinvent myself.
My 1st business failed due to mistakes, over spending and under funding not to mention a bad economy at the time.
I learned many lessons from that experience and today am able to successfully counsel others as a paid consultant.

One of the best compliments I’ve ever received was that I’m the same person online, in person and in private.
I strive to live authentically. Life is a one shot deal – there are no dress rehearsals.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What are you doing today that won’t pay off for 7–10 years?
I’m building my consulting aspect of the business now and it’s already produced fruit.
I’m also investing in philanthropy. I invest my time in organizations that fill a need and feed my soul.
Down the road, all of these efforts will blossom into something beautiful and fulfilling!
