Hi Darling, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey in healthcare began over 15 years ago, working in healthcare management. I’ve always been passionate about improving how care is delivered and experienced, but the real turning point came in 2019, when my mother was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. That experience opened my eyes to the gaps that still exist in healthcare such as the lack of communication, the uncertainty, and the feeling that patients and families aren’t truly being heard.
That experience changed everything for me. I made a promise that no other family should have to feel the way we did, and that became the driving force behind opening my own medical practice. As a first-generation Haitian American, I’ve always understood the importance of community, compassion, and advocacy. I wanted to create a place where patients feel valued, respected, and involved in every step of their care.
It hasn’t been an easy road there have been challenges, setbacks, and a lot of learning along the way but it has been incredibly rewarding. Every time I see a patient take control of their health, or a family leave feeling more hopeful and informed, I’m reminded why this journey was worth it. It’s not just a career for me it’s purpose.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Looking back, I can definitely say it hasn’t been an easy or smooth journey. Starting a medical practice from the ground up requires a lot of resilience and a lot of prayer! There have been challenges with funding, staffing, and navigating the many regulations in healthcare. On top of that, I had to push past the many NO’s heard during this process. But I was raised to push through obstacles no matter how big they present. The many NO’s received only push me to go further. Further in prayer, further in my determination in finding alternative solutions, and further in believing this is what God intended for me.
But every obstacle taught me something. I’ve learned that persistence, consistency, and faith are essential. I’ve learned that when your vision is bigger than yourself and truly touches others, God will send people , even those you never expected to support you. That’s what has kept me from never feeling alone in this process. And most importantly, I’ve learned that challenges often come with hidden opportunities to grow within and refine the vision.
So, while it hasn’t been easy, I wouldn’t trade this journey. The struggles make the rewarding moments like seeing patients thrive and knowing families feel truly cared for makes this experience even more meaningful and rewarding.

Total Life Health Center is more than just a medical practice it’s a foundation built on compassion, connection, and trust. We specialize in primary care and chronic disease management. Our goal is to not only treat illness but to educate, empower, and walk alongside patients on their journey to healthier, happier lives.
What sets us apart is our holistic, patient centered approach. We take the time to listen, to understand the full picture of a person’s health physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Every patient’s story matters, and every time someone leaves our practice feeling more hopeful, more cared for, and more confident about their health, I know we’re living out the vision that inspired this journey.
At the end of the day, what I’m most proud of is seeing that vision come to life knowing that our patients feel seen, supported, and valued. That’s what Total Life Health Center is all about.
Any big plans?
Looking ahead, our plan is to continue serving our patients and community with the same dedication and compassion that have guided us from the start. Our goal is to keep fulfilling our core values providing high-quality, patient centered care and treating as many individuals as we’re able to with excellence and empathy. We also plan to stay actively engaged in community affairs, expanding our outreach and education efforts to help more people take charge of their health.
Our focus is on consistency, connection, and impact continuing to build trust, strengthen relationships, and make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve. Ultimately, looking forward to seeing what God has in store for us.
