Today we’d like to introduce you to Quamir.
Hi Quamir, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Willy grew up in Springfield, Illinois, where the discipline of sports like ice hockey, lacrosse, cheerleading, and track. Which set the foundation for his drive. After graduating from Glenwood High School and earning a degree in Administrative Athletics with a minor in History and Coaching from Benedictine University, he carried that same competitive spirit into music.
What began as an outlet quickly evolved into a career. Moving to Tampa, Florida gave him the backdrop to refine his sound and bring it to clubs, lounges, and live events. As a producer and DJ, he performs under the name Q.Louvë, where house music becomes the language he speaks fluently. But another persona runs deep in his sets: Willy Bush, the name of his great-grandfather. Taking on that alter ego allows him to honor his roots while reimagining them in the form of energy, rhythm, and performance.
Today, Willy isn’t just behind the decks—he’s building something bigger. Through ventures like QLV Holdings LLC and Louvë Haus, he’s shaping projects that bridge music, food, technology, and culture. His journey is about reinvention and expansion: taking the lessons of teamwork from sports, the legacy of family, and the creativity of sound, and fusing them into a path that’s both personal and entrepreneurial.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Coming up in music, there’s no clear blueprint. You’ve got to figure it out as you go. There were times when opportunities didn’t come easy, when I was grinding and believing in myself. Balancing the business side with the creative side was another challenge.. Learning how to market myself, book shows, and still stay true to the music.
Moving to Tampa meant starting fresh in a new city. I didn’t have a built-in network, so I had to put myself out there, meet the right people, and earn respect one set at a time. And outside of music, life doesn’t stop throwing challenges, financial struggles, setbacks, the passing of my mother, the kind of real-world pressure that forces you to either fold or push harder. Its all full of trial and error, you try things, some fail, some click, and you learn from every step. I’ve lost friendships along the way too, because not everyone understands the grind or the sacrifices it takes to chase a vision. That part stings, but it also forces you to figure out who’s really in your corner.
Either way, those struggles shaped me. They taught me persistence, patience, and how to trust my vision even when nobody else sees it yet. The tough parts are what gave me the energy behind Q.Louvë and the alter ego of Willy Bush because both of those names carry weight, and they remind me why I can’t quit.
Failure is expected, but I don’t look at it as the end. What really defines you is how you bounce back from those moments. Whether you let them break you or use them as fuel. For me, every setback has been a chance to get sharper, more focused, and more in tune with who I am as an artist and as a person. Those struggles are what shaped Q.Louvë and Willy Bush, they’re not just names, they’re reminders of resilience and legacy.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was the kind of kid who couldn’t sit still.. Only chid lol. Curious, competitive, and always looking for the next challenge. Always look do be different and do things off script. Growing up in Springfield and going to Glenwood, I was deeply involved in sports, ice hockey, football, lacrosse, cheerleading, and track & field. Thats what really taught me to thrive under pressure. But I wasn’t just about athletics; I’ve always had a creative, entrepreneurial streak. Even back then, I was fascinated by how things worked, how people connected, and how energy moved in a room. Whether that was through music, events, or teamwork.
Personality-wise, I was social but independent. I liked being around people, but I also had no problem breaking off to focus on my own goals. I had a natural drive to be a leader. I was competitive but also someone who believed in team wins as much as personal wins.
I’ve always been drawn to rhythm, movement, and energy. Things that bring people together from hosting parties in High School, College, and even being one of the first to host music events and bring artists to Springfield from my age group. That’s probably why DJing and producing feel like such a natural evolution now. And even back then, I wasn’t afraid of failure or trying new things; I understood early on that mistakes are part of the process.
