Life & Work with Brandy Gray of Sarasota, Florida

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandy Gray.

Hi Brandy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
A few years ago, I found myself content with my life but still feeling like something was missing. The wellness options I could find were either one-hour yoga classes or week-long retreats, nothing in between that truly supported the whole woman’s needs. I began imagining an immersive, healing, restorative space where women could move, breathe, share food, connect, and gather resources for their own well-being.

That vision became Heal-Thy Self Yoga and Wellness, a multidimensional approach where women can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and leave with everyday wellness practices and embodied wisdom they can carry into daily life and through the seasons. It’s about nourishing body, mind, heart, and spirit, honoring our full humanity, reclaiming the time, presence, and balance we so rarely give ourselves, and stepping into our own sense of bliss and internal well-being. It’s about gathering the nectar of our lived experiences and bringing it forward with intention, rhythm, and consistency to create the life we want to live.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There have definitely been struggles in maintaining a strong and committed community. People are busy, resources are limited, and prioritizing self-care can feel overwhelming for those who are already stretched thin. This is why these opportunities are so important~ they allow women to carve out the time to connect more deeply with their own journey.

Finding women who are devoted to wholehearted wellness, disciplined in self-reflection, and committed to embodied living ~ and who are willing to dedicate themselves to this ongoing practice ~ is not for the faint of heart. This is an ongoing challenge.

It’s also been a struggle to stay relevant in the oversaturated wellness world, especially when brand-specific ideas and signature work can be replicated online without preserving their original heart and spirit. I am always seeking others who genuinely want to collaborate in ways that support and serve the greater community, benefiting everyone involved.

Heal-Thy Self Yoga and Wellness exists to provide a supportive, nourishing space where everyone can thrive~from the women who attend, to the teachers who share their gifts, to the local businesses and venues we partner with. It’s a space built on reciprocity and collaboration, where giving and receiving with self & others flow in harmony.

We hope this invites you to step in, explore, and discover practices and wisdom that bring balance and bliss into your everyday life, guiding you on your own path.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My name is Brandy Gray. I’m an RYT 500 Yoga Teacher, Qigong instructor, and movement medicine guide. I curate intimate and immersive experiences that invite deep self-healing & reflection, sensory bliss, and wholehearted embodiment.

My work centers on helping women reconnect with their inner world and vision, embrace their bodies wisdom, reclaim their time and energy, and cultivate holistic wellness in a way that’s practical, soulful, and deeply personal.

I specialize in blending together a variety of transformative wellness practices that are both ancient and modern, integrating a synergy of self-healing, somatic awareness, and restorative rituals into my signature framework, the Balanced Bliss Medicine Wheel. This modern map to self-healing and self-discovery meets women where they are and guides them toward embodying their wholeness and cultivating blissful living ~ to thrive, not just survive.

I am proud to have built a space where women can show up as they are, season to season, being cared for on every level of their being, and commit to their own growth and wellness, alongside others who are on the same path.

What sets me apart is the depth, intention, and care woven into every experience I create. I guide women to reconnect with themselves and awaken their inner light, stepping into a more rewarding, fulfilling, vibrant way of living; to cultivate an ongoing sense of well-being and balance throughout the ever-changing seasons of life.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
I’ve been incredibly fortunate to learn from a network of mentors, teachers, and coaches who have guided me along the way. Over the years, I’ve trained with many special and inspiring yoga teachers and qi-gong instructors who have helped me pave my own wellness path. Having completed thousands of hours of study, every interaction has offered knowledge, awareness, insight, and inspiration that has nourished the seed of my own potential and helped me bring it forward. I’m deeply grateful to all of them for their guidance.

Equally important are the collaborations that have shaped my business. I’ve always built my offerings around partnering with women-owned venues and studios, as well as local artisans who provide the fresh charcuterie, seasonal snacks, herbs, teas, flowers, and other ingredients for our brunches, ceremonies, and workshops. Many of these come from small local businesses or makers on platforms like Etsy. Supporting and working with them is not just practical, it’s a way to honor and serve the collaborative community that surrounds this work. I’m deeply thankful to all of these collaborators for their creativity, care, and support.
