Mr. Fun Guy Markets is a thriving, family-run business dedicated to natural health and wellness throughout Southwest Florida. Founded by husband-and-wife team Jason (a Navy veteran) and Gabriella (a seasoned restaurateur and dedicated mother), the company was built on a shared passion for making the region’s best natural health remedies accessible to everyone.
When you visit their stand, you’ll be greeted by the whole family. The “marketeers” team is full of enthusiastic relatives, including Gabriella’s father, Flavio, and Jason’s brother, Justin, who all play a vital role in creating the warm, knowledgeable, and community-focused experience that defines Mr. Fun Guy Markets.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As with any business, we’ve certainly faced our challenges. However, knowing that we offer a product that almost always leads to positive health and lifestyle changes makes everything worthwhile. When people return to us after years of improved health, it’s the single most rewarding thing we could ask for.
As you know, we’re big fans of Mr. Fun Guy Markets. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
MFG Markets, short for Mr. Fun Guy Markets, is our family-run business here in Port Charlotte. We specialize in medicinal mushrooms and mushroom-based products like extracts, teas, and coffee blends. People know us for our Super 8 mushroom mix—Chaga, Cordyceps, Lion’s Mane, Maitake, Reishi, Turkey Tail, Shiitake, and Oyster—which we use to support focus, energy, immunity, and overall wellness. What sets us apart is that this isn’t just a business to us, it’s personal. Our own family has benefited from these mushrooms, whether it’s better focus, less stress, or healthier blood pressure, and we love sharing that with our community.
