We’re looking forward to introducing you to Daniece Brady. Check out our conversation below.
Daniece, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
Going back to school to get one of the highest degrees. This isn’t something I was afraid of, but more so surprised because the thought of this literally popped up in my brain while aimlessly scrolling TikTok.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Daniece Brady, your favorite girl genius! I am the CEO and Founder of Liquid Era, an immersive marketing and brand strategy agency in the entertainment industry. Liquid Era is unique because we create strategies that engage consumers’ senses in creative, out-of-the-box experiences, which separates the client from their competitors. We offer press mailer kits creation, brand partnerships/sponsorships, notarization, and project management as part of our services.
While building my agency, I also create entrepreneurship lifestyle and marketing breakdown content. I am now working on being vulnerable to my viewers and showing how I am evolving my own brand and becoming the entrepreneur and the woman I intend to be.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My older sister, Alicia. She’s the first person who accepted my dramatics, my creativeness, and my dreams. Growing up in a Caribbean household, you are expected to pursue a stable career, and whenever I felt like I couldn’t speak up for myself in regards to my future, she would be the one to understand and guide me through my feelings. She makes everything make sense for me.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
I can’t decide if it’s the fear of failure or the fear of success. The thought of “If I fail, I am my harshest critic, and I know I am capable of more, but if I succeed, the unknown of all that success requires to maintain is also scary.” But every obstacle that I have conquered throughout my journey proves to me that I am more than capable. “Failure” is just a lesson to get better, a joke to laugh at later, and a juicy story to inspire others. With the support that I have and the God that I serve, there is no such thing as fear. Instead, it’s much more fun to ask myself, “How good can it really get?”
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m committed to learning as much as I can. From every industry I find interesting to life skills. To be a genius means to be a student forever
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I would stop doing everything that makes others comfortable but suffocates me.
