Hi Faith, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I never imagined myself as a small business owner, but Pearl & Palm was truly born out of both necessity and passion. I was a special education teacher before stepping away from the classroom in 2024 after the birth of my son. I didn’t know what work would look like for me in this next season, but I left education trusting that God would provide the right opportunity. Not long after, my family’s world was turned upside down when my son was faced with sudden and overwhelming health complications that required me to step back from work entirely in order to care for his growing needs.
During that season, I longed for a creative outlet- something that could bring me joy while helping provide for our family and allowing me the flexibility to prioritize my son. I loved the idea of working for myself, but realistically didn’t know where to begin. I’ve always been a creative at heart (an artist, a musician, and a lover of anything that adds beauty to the world), and when I considered permanent jewelry, it felt like the perfect blend of artistry, meaning, and possibility. With the encouragement of my husband and my best friend, I took a leap of faith and launched Pearl & Palm.
What started as a way to meet my family’s needs and nurture my own creativity has grown into something so much bigger. In just six months, I’ve been welcomed into local markets, businesses, and homes, creating jewelry that not only reflects beauty but also carries personal meaning for my customers. From hair salons and coffee shops to bachelorette parties and bridal showers, people have been so kind and supportive. I get to help them pick out and weld their perfect piece of jewelry, while hearing about their life and sharing smiles and laughter. I love curating chains and charms, and welding them for each customer, but my greatest hope is that every permanent jewelry piece from Pearl & Palm serves as a daily reminder to its wearer of the beauty THEY add to the world simply because of who they were created to be.
Pearl & Palm has been such a blessing to my family and getting to bring it to life has brought so much joy to me personally. I can’t wait to teach my son as he grows that hard work, faith, and resilience can lead to beautiful things. I’m proud to be building this small business, and I’m excited to continue growing deeper roots in our surrounding communities.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Taking the initial leap and choosing to go for it was definitely the hardest part. Knowing that this small business dream could fail was so scary, but I didn’t want to allow that to keep me from trying. If others can put themselves out there and build the business, why can’t I? Of course, now that I have taken the leap, and I AM running this business, I have to choose not to compare my journey and business to anyone else’s. It’s easy to begin doubting yourself and your potential when you allow yourself to focus on what others are doing. But I’m running my own race, I’m not in competition with anyone. I’ve been so blessed with customers and support in these first 6 months, and I trust that Pearl & Palm’s story and growth will continue to unfold exactly how it’s meant to.

Pearl & Palm is a permanent jewelry business that brings people together through fun, meaningful, custom jewelry experiences. I specialize in creating high-quality, welded pieces like bracelets, anklets, necklaces, hand chains, and even bangles, that are designed to be worn every day as a lasting reminder of beauty, connection, or a special moment. What makes Pearl & Palm unique is not only the jewelry itself, but the experience. I love meeting clients, hearing their stories, and helping them design pieces that reflect something personal.
I offer pop-ups in partnership with local businesses, as well as private events like bachelorette parties, girls’ nights, and birthdays. You’ll find Pearl & Palm at local markets, and I also provide in-home experiences where friends and families can come together to celebrate milestones or simply make memories. Flexibility and personalization are at the heart of Pearl & Palm, so every event feels special and tailored.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the heart behind Pearl & Palm. My hope is that every piece I create serves as a daily reminder that the person wearing it is already beautiful and worthy just as they are. The jewelry doesn’t make them more valuable, it simply reflects the beauty that’s already there.
If there’s one thing I’d love readers to know, it’s that Pearl & Palm is more than permanent jewelry. It’s an experience designed to celebrate people, their stories, and the connections that matter most.
Any big plans?
As I look to the future of Pearl & Palm, I’m trusting God to continue opening the right doors at the right time. This business was born out of a very personal season in my life, and I want its growth to always reflect gratitude, faith, and purpose. I’m excited to continue expanding our community partnerships and private events, but more than that, I hope Pearl & Palm can be a brand that has a lasting impact in SWFL, bringing people together and supporting causes that matter.
Long term, I definitely dream about creating our own space—whether that’s a studio or something mobile—that allows us to welcome people in, collaborate with other small businesses and creatives, and give back to causes that matter. My prayer is that Pearl & Palm will always be more than jewelry. That it will be a way to celebrate people’s stories, create meaningful connections, and shine a little light wherever it goes.
