We recently had the chance to connect with Samantha Jones and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Samantha, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me right now is waking up, getting dressed to workout, eat, then run to a workout class! I always keep my mornings disciplined and that has helped me stay on track and focused in the day to day of running my business. I always feel more motivated after a workout. It wakes me up, and makes me feel alive. It is my “me-time” and I would not trade it for anything!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I am Samantha Jones, a 29 year old entrepreneur in St Petersburg, FL. I started Beau Swim in 2020 and have continue to build the brand over the years. Beau Swim is a sustainable swimwear brand that is most known for its sexy styles, and bright colors. Our style is unique with a spicy flare to it. Most of our fabrics are sustainable and we donate a portion of our proceeds to helping clean up beaches. Over the past five years we have launched numerous collections, walked in Miami Swim Week three times, did a show in Monaco for the Grand Prix X Monaco Swim Week event, been in many news articles, and have worked with top fashion influencers, models, and pageant girls.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I remember always wanting to do fashion, I was young, fun, outgoing but never thought that that dream was able to happen. I gained my confidence in college and focused on manifestation. I remember always day dreaming about having my own brand, but after college I gained the confidence to finally take the first steps!
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There have been many times that I wanted to give up, in business there is always struggles and challenges but a good entrepreneur keeps going and learns to pivot. I have many some pivots in regards to marketing, events, and sales. The best advice I could give is to just not give up!
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends and family would say that I value loyalty the most. In business you have many people who test you and try to screw you over. Loyalty is something I demand from the people closest to me!
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people remember me as the girl who created the hottest, most colorful swimwear!
