We recently had the chance to connect with Jasmina Lua and have shared our conversation below.
Jasmina, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: Have you ever been glad you didn’t act fast?
In short, always. This is a character trait I honestly pride myself on because I had to work to get here. For a good majority of my life my actions came with no thought. As I’ve gotten older I have found the value in thinking before I speak or do anything. I allow myself a pause before responding and I will tell people when I need time to process something before giving them an answer. I wish this kind of peace for everyone.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi friends! My name is Jasmina. I am a Southern California girl living in a South Florida world. I am a floral designer, herbalist & crystal lover. My brand is called Petals for Jadestone, which is named after my daughter. I do pop-ups all over the country where I help bloom people’s sacred feminine by way of herbal remedies, healing crystals and of course serotonin boosting flowers. Our mission is to provide everyone with mama earths little natural healers to help overcome traumas & live a balanced divinely feminine life.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
I love this question! So I would definitely have to say that the “urge to be chosen” has ran its course. This is a recent change for me. I never realized that for a good long time I was sacrificing parts of me that were genuine to be chosen by people or situations that were never meant to serve me. I think a lot of us struggle with this, living in a world where we see so much of others lives on the internet. We begin to conform in order to be like someone else or to be in those same spaces. Once you realize that you have to choose you, be you & take up space it opens up a brand new world.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Girl you need to listen to your intuition! You have to walk into every situation with protection of your peace at the forefront of your mind.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I want you all to start valuing your rest just as much if not more than you value overworking. This is a big part of blooming our Sacred Feminine. While it is essential that there is a balance between the feminine & the masculine, unfortunately the majority of us are living knee deep in our masculine. We are in a society where being overworked is praised and resting is considered lazy. This has to change. These factors are leading to a huge mental and physical health crisis in our country. My goal is to provide everyone with little tools to help level the scale by calming your overstimulated nervous system and increasing your serotonin production.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
This is me. In my most pure & raw form. Petals for Jadestone is me. As a child I would pick up rocks & buy crystals. There would always be a little collection in my pocket. My summers were filled with making daisy chains, serving up mud pies & mixing together little remedies for my great grandmother to put on her bedroom vanity and kitchen window sill. One could say that my inner child and I have never lost touch. But that’s simply not true. I spent many years away from that little girl, just navigating the world without a clue of what I wanted to do. Until one day it just clicked, I found her again and now I’m living her joy all over again.
