Joanne, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What do you think others are secretly struggling with—but never say?
I believe that entrepreneurs often portray the entrepreneur life to be about being successful and thriving without showing the other side of the picture. I wish they were more vocal on the struggles that they have faced when starting up more openly. Sharing their experiences without omitting the potential stumbling blocks of the entrepreneurial journey.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello,
My name is Joanne, I am a wife and a happy mother to a precious little boy. I have lived in the United States for about 5 years now.
I am originally from France, where I was born and raised.
I am a natural hair enthusiast. My brand came about when I was helping some of my friends throughout their healthy hair journey.
My most famous product is my Hair growth oil which I tried on myself first for some time before deciding to sell it.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I am a follower of Christ and I strongly believe that this world cannot define who I have to be. My faith in God started to grow when I got an understanding of the love of God and His plan and purpose for my life and for this world.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I launched my company the same year I got pregnant.
For some health concerns, I was not able to keep up with my business needs.
However, with the help of my support system, I was able to push through and keep my business going and growing. I am extremely grateful for that.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
I believe that my closest friends would say that God and family are what really matter to me. I do value honesty in all of my relationships whether it’s at the professional or personal level.

I hope that everyone who had the chance to meet me and get to know me will remember and tell of how much I loved them. I also hope that my brand “Goback2naturalhair” would have reached and helped as much people as possible.
