Lora Hypnosis shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Lora, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
Many people hear Lora Hypnosis and think only of the service side, that my business is simply about offering a reading or guiding a hypnosis session. What’s often misunderstood is that this work is more than a single session or service; it’s a whole business that I am building and running on my own.
Behind the scenes, I am not only the practitioner but also the marketer, manager, coordinator, and director. Every aspect, from designing workshops & events, managing schedules, connecting with clients, curating social media, and building community relationships, comes through me. My business isn’t just about one interaction; it’s a multifaceted practice that weaves together spiritual work, entrepreneurship, and creative direction.
What I offer is an experience and a community resource, not just a moment in time.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a certified hypnotist, psychic, and intuitive guide, and my work is all about helping people tap into their subconscious, unlock their inner wisdom, and step into more empowered versions of themselves.
What makes my brand unique is the way I blend different modalities, hypnosis, intuitive readings, coaching, and spiritual practices, into experiences that go far beyond a single session. I don’t just offer insight; I help people integrate it into their lives, relationships, and spiritual journeys.
My story is rooted in curiosity and connection. I’ve always been drawn to the unseen layers of life, and over the years I’ve developed my gifts into a business that allows me to serve others while also creating community. Right now, I’m expanding my offerings to include more events, collaborations, and educational opportunities, because I believe that spirituality and personal growth are meant to be shared experiences.
At its heart, what I offer is all about creating space for transformation, whether that’s through a one-on-one session, a group workshop, or the ripple effect that happens when people feel more aligned and alive.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I often felt confused and even scared of the world around me. No one in my family did what I do now, nor did they seem to experience reality the way I did. Because of that, I was labeled the “creative kid,” but my deeper perceptions and sensitivities weren’t understood or validated. That left me feeling powerless, fearful, and very alone in how I experienced life.
Over time, and through a lot of inner work, I’ve completely shifted that belief. I’ve learned to recognize my own power by understanding what my emotions are signaling to me, how to trust my intuition, and how to set clear boundaries. Doing this has allowed me to release old energetic blocks and step fully into who I am today.
I no longer see myself as powerless, in fact, my younger self would be proud to see the strong, intuitive, and aligned person I’ve become, and how I’ve built Lora Hypnosis from that foundation.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
For me, the shift began over a decade ago when I first discovered hypnosis and past-life regression. Those practices opened a doorway for me to explore the deeper “why” behind the reality I was experiencing. They helped me see that pain wasn’t something to fear or hide, but a form of contrast, a necessary part of being human. Just as we wouldn’t know light without darkness, we wouldn’t recognize joy, love, or empowerment without first understanding what it feels like to struggle.
Through hypnosis and my own spiritual practices, I’ve learned how to hold space for whatever arises, even when it feels painful, without resisting it. I often return to one guiding question, which I also share with my clients: “How is this for me, not against me?” Our minds are incredibly resourceful, and when we ask that question, we begin to uncover answers that turn pain into wisdom and power.
That perspective has not only transformed how I live my own life, but it’s also the foundation of how I help others reclaim theirs.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is definitely real, but it’s only one facet of who I am. As Lora Hypnosis, I hold space for others, validate their experiences, and share the wisdom I’ve gained through my own journey. Many people experience me as strong, insightful, and even a little mysterious in that role, and all of that is true.
At the same time, there’s a whole side of me that most clients and audiences don’t see. I’m a single mother, which shapes a huge part of my daily life. I’m also an artist, a bit of a goofball, and someone who loves simple joys like rollerblading and biking. Those aspects of me are just as authentic, they balance out the depth of my work with playfulness, creativity, and groundedness.
So yes, the public version of me is real, but it’s not the whole picture.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
What would remain is my love for being human. My emotions and sensations are the most beautiful part of my existence. If I could not feel, I would not have an identity, because it’s through feeling that I come to know who I am.
The range of emotions I experience, from joy to sorrow, from ease to challenge, is what allows me to recognize myself and build out my world. It’s this connection to feeling that guides me in choosing what aligns with this version of me, and it’s what allows me to help others honor their own inner truth as well.
