We’re looking forward to introducing you to Stephanie Agudelo. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Stephanie, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
A recent moment I’ve felt proud of is seeing the museum being used in various ways—poetry nights, dance socials, comedy, and markets. It’s inspiring to see the space become a hub for community and connection while highlighting local talent. I’m passionate about creating these opportunities and seeing people come together.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I began my journey as the founder of Populoum, a series of pop-up art shows I created to give emerging artists a platform and a voice at Coastal Creative. Through that experience, I saw how powerful art can be in building community and creating meaningful connections. For the past two years, I’ve been the Event Coordinator at the Imagine Museum, where I’ve continued that mission—transforming the museum into a hub for creativity with events like poetry nights, dance socials, comedy shows, and markets. I’m passionate about creating spaces that not only highlight local talent but also bring people together in inspiring ways.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
A moment that really shaped how I view the world was when my high school teacher asked me, ‘If you died tomorrow, how would the world see you, and what have you done to make an impact?’ That was a reality check that’s stayed with me. Since then, I’ve been driven to create meaningful experiences that bring people together and celebrate creativity. I want to be remembered for sparking connection, uplifting others, and creating spaces where people feel seen and inspired.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self, ‘You’d be so proud of where you are now.’ Growing up, I had teachers who doubted my future, and that was such a heavy obstacle to overcome. But looking at where I am today—winning photography awards, being published in magazines, having my art displayed in a museum, curating art shows, and now being an Event Coordinator at a museum—I know young me would be over the moon. I’d tell her, ‘Every challenge you’re facing is shaping you into someone stronger, creative, and unstoppable.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, the public version of me is the real me. I’m naturally a hype queen for my friends and loved ones—I’m always cheering them on and doing everything I can to help them shine. The same energy I pour into the community through events and opportunities is the same energy I give to the people I care about. What you see publicly is just an extension of how I truly live and love to support others.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Honestly, I wouldn’t stop anything. If I only had 10 years left, I would live every moment to the fullest and keep pouring my energy into creating meaningful experiences. I’d focus on building bigger projects and strategies to uplift the community, leave a lasting impact, and create something that continues to inspire even after I’m gone.
