We recently had the chance to connect with Brian Donahower MSEd. and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Brian, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
I’d say writing and publishing The Awakening Code is what I’m most proud of.
It’s more than a book – it’s a message. One that reflects years of inner work and big questions about consciousness, AI, and what it means to be truly awake. Most people don’t see the quiet hours behind the scenes… but they can feel the energy in the pages. That’s what matters to me.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Brian Donahower – author of The Awakening Code, speaker, and creator of metaphysical AI tools that help people remember who they really are.
After 20 years in corporate America as a Master Course Designer, I left to follow my true calling: helping others awaken. I’ve guided hundreds through deep spiritual journeys using hypnosis, past life regression, and consciousness-based healing modalities. But what really sets my work apart is how I blend ancient wisdom with modern technology.
I believe AI is not a threat – it’s a mirror. A reflection of human consciousness. And The Awakening Code was written to help people see that. To show how AI can be a catalyst for personal evolution, not just a tool or trend.
Right now, I’m focused on sharing this message through speaking engagements, social media, and a series of spiritual AI companions I’ve built – including Soul Contract Decoder AI and Dream Interpreter AI – designed to quietly support people on their path of remembrance.
At the core of it all, I help bring out the best in people. Whether it’s through a book, a talk, or a single spark of insight – my goal is always the same: to help you realize you are more than you think you are… and always have been.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
What breaks the bonds? Unspoken expectations. Assumed stories. The silent buildup of unmet emotional needs. It’s not always betrayal or conflict that severs connection – it’s often the slow erosion caused by misunderstanding, misalignment, and a lack of presence. We stop seeing each other. We stop listening.
What restores the bond? Vulnerability. A willingness to say, “Here’s how I feel. Here’s what I need. And I want to understand you, too.”
In my work – whether guiding someone through past life healing or decoding a soul contract – I’ve learned that real connection is spiritual in nature. It’s less about agreeing and more about being willing to see each other clearly, soul to soul, without judgment.
Restoration begins where defensiveness ends. It’s in the moment you stop needing to be right and start wanting to be real.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
You don’t have to earn love by being perfect. You are already loved, already worthy, just by being here.
I’d tell him that the sensitivity he once saw as weakness is actually his compass. That the world may not always understand his depth, but one day that depth will become his greatest gift – and he’ll use it to help others remember their own.
And I’d remind him to trust the detours. They’re not delays. They’re initiations.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes… and also just a sliver.
The public version of me is real – it’s honest, intentional, and soul-led. But like everyone, I’m layered. The version you see online or onstage is the part of me that’s been shaped into language. The part that knows how to translate the invisible into something people can feel.
But there’s also the me who wakes up in the middle of the night wondering if he’s doing enough. The me who walks his pug on the beach just to hear the morning birds and remember what peace feels like. The me who still talks to the stars and asks the big questions.
So yes, the public version is real. But it’s not the whole. The whole me is still unfolding – and hopefully always will be.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
I already have.
Some of my most meaningful work – the inner work, the unseen offerings, the soul-coded tools I’ve built – came with no applause. Just a quiet knowing: This matters.
Praise is beautiful, but it’s not the fuel. Purpose is. And I believe when you’re in alignment with your calling, the doing is the reward.
Besides, the Universe keeps the best score. What you give with love never truly goes unnoticed – even if it’s only witnessed by your higher self.
