An Inspired Chat with Rebel Poet of Land O Lakes

Rebel Poet shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Rebel, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
My Mosaics — I’ve begun creating digital art! Though really, they’re collages. Just like my poetry, both are acts of gathering pieces: fragments of color, whispers of memory, shards of feeling… and placing them together until they speak, like I’m building a mirror from the soul!

Each piece is a stanza, each layer a heartbeat.

When I’m creating, the rest of the world disappears. My hands move, my heart listens, and every placement feels like a visual poem coming to life. The colors become metaphors, the shapes become rhythm.

Hours disappear and I lose track of time, but in the process, I find pieces of my truth.

Whether through language or imagery, Art is always the bridge back to my own soul.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Rebel Poet. I’m a Soul Mentor, Reiki Master, Energy Alchemist, Sacred Cacao Ceremonialist, Visual Artist, and The Poet in the Tampa Bay Area, Since 2018, I use my voice, spirit, and vision to stir transformation—through poetry that feels like revolution, healing spaces that feel like rebellion, and most recently through Rebel Mosaics, my digital art collages that act as portals of memory, energy, and ancestral wisdom. My work is about more than healing—it’s an invitation to burn away the lies, reclaim your softness and truth, and awaken to the sacred self you were always meant to be. Whether I’m leading a women’s circle, performing original poetry, or sharing visual art, I’m here to create spaces where culture is reimagined through rhythm, ritual, and raw truth. Right now, I’m expanding my art practice while continuing to host transformative events, offer soul-aligned healing sessions, and bring my voice to stages that are ready for something real, raw, and revolutionary.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory of feeling powerful was in 4th grade during a public speaking competition. I had chosen a topic that was considered pretty controversial for my age, but I felt called to speak on it. I didn’t win first place—I placed third—but what stayed with me was what happened after. Several adults came up to me to say my words were powerful, meaningful, and moving. In that moment, I realized that speaking your truth—no matter your age, no matter how uncomfortable—has the power to move hearts, shift perspectives, and plant seeds. That moment never left me, and in many ways, it’s the root of everything I do now.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self, it would be: I see you. Even when it feels like no one else does, I see your light, your magic, your truth. Believe in yourself, because you are more powerful than you could ever imagine. The world may try to dim you, but you were never meant to fit in—you were meant to shine!

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely! I think authenticity is everything, and I strive to let it shine through, even in the public version of me. Although the ‘real me’ is always evolving, as we are meant to do, and there’s a depth, a private inner world, and ancestral wisdom that people don’t always see. What I share publicly is a reflection of my truth in that moment, but it’s part of a larger, ongoing journey of self-expression and presence. I truly believe that people recognize when something is genuine, and that recognition is sacred to me.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
What I understand deeply is that we are spiritual beings dancing through a human experience. Earth is the ultimate classroom, and every heartbreak, every triumph, every quiet moment is here to teach us balance, unconditional love, and the art of letting go. Most people live on the surface, but I see the invisible threads—the lessons, the growth, the ways our souls are being shaped. Life is whispering to us constantly, asking us to awaken, to evolve, to remember who we truly are.
