Story & Lesson Highlights with Jamie Jenkins of Spring Hill

We recently had the chance to connect with Jamie Jenkins and have shared our conversation below.

Jamie , it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day set the tone for everything. I start early, usually before the rest of my household is awake. I take a few quiet minutes for myself, drink coffee, and organize my thoughts. Once the kids are up, I shift into mom-mode—making sure everyone has what they need for school or their day ahead. Then I dive into business: Fast Patch Drywall Fl-LLC checking emails, reviewing my schedule, and touching base with clients or crews. It’s a balance of family and Fast Patch Drywall, and those first 90 minutes really define how I lead both my home and my company.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Jamie Jenkins, and I’m the owner of Fast Patch Drywall FL-LLC. We specialize in drywall installation, finishing, texture matching, from small repair jobs to large-scale projects. What makes us stand out is that we’re not just fixing walls—we’re restoring homes, creating comfort, and helping people love their spaces again. I built this business from the ground up with the help of my husband, and today it’s not only my career but also a way to support my family, my employees, and my community. We have grown and have a network of business partners. I am owner, office, marketing advertisements, CPA, estimator, invoicer, and more. I have my partner Danny Jenkins also my husband, and in person estimator. And our partner Carlo L., our project manager, and on-site leader, and driver for our dump service.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
A defining moment for me was realizing that no matter how hard life gets, you can still build something out of nothing. We have faced instability, financial hardship, and personal struggles, but instead of giving up, we poured our energy into creating opportunity—for myself, for my family, and for others. That experience shaped my worldview: life isn’t about waiting for circumstances to be perfect, it’s about creating strength from the imperfections.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Absolutely. There have been nights where the pressure of running a business, raising a family, being a wife and carrying financial responsibility felt overwhelming. There were moments where I thought about walking away. But then I’d look at my kids and husband and my employees—people who depend on me—and I realized giving up wasn’t an option. Those moments of doubt turned into fuel. They taught me resilience, and every time I got back up, I came back stronger.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, but it’s layered. The public sees a strong, driven business owner who always keeps pushing forward—and that’s real. But behind that is also a mom, a wife, and a woman who has doubts, struggles, and vulnerable moments. I don’t believe in being one-dimensional; the “public me” and the “private me” are both authentic, just different sides of the same person.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If immortality were real, what would you build?
If I had unlimited time, I’d build a legacy of opportunity with my business partners. I’d create training centers and programs that teach trades like drywall, framing, and handyman skills that can completely change someone’s life. I believe in passing knowledge forward, because work in the trades gave us independence and a way to support our family. With immortality, I’d make sure that future generations always had access to the tools, skills, and confidence to build their own futures.
