Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Bridgette Palomino

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Bridgette Palomino . Check out our conversation below.

Hi Bridgette, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
a recent situation that made me feel proud was when a recent bride of mine was extremely stressed day of and had people asking her a million questions when she just wanted to relax— i was able to lightly chat with her and help her keep a leveled head, and once i finished her makeup and showed it to her she almost started crying because she felt so beautiful and things like that truly make my day and make me feel proud of where i am in my career and my ability to help people in other ways at the same time!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
hi there! my name is bridgette, owner of makeup and hair team angel collective beauty.

i would say every makeup artist and hairstylist has something that makes them unique— i feel like my ability to connect with my clients and make them feel comfortable and at home in a way that is very special.

i started being a freelance artist in 2019, so i’ve been an artist for 6 years now! my growth and confidence in my work has only gotten better and better with the hard work i put in and making sure i’m giving my clients exactly what they want while still feeling themselves!

currently i’m working on a website for my business, for now i do everything through my instagram and email!

if you’d like to book me or check out my work for any future events, my business page is ‘angelcollectivebeauty’ on instagram!

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who taught you the most about work?
i’d say my mother and my makeup/hairstylist friend melissa taught me the most about work. they both are very inspiring with how much they commit to their work ethic and are always constantly doing the next thing to improve their businesses! they both inspire me to always strive to do my best and work as hard as i can for my goals!

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
there was a time last year in may where i almost gave up on everything. it felt like my mind and my world was collapsing and i could barely keep myself afloat— but as some time went by i slowly started finding myself again and moving forward in life and believing in myself again. some days are still hard, but i always keep pushing forward because i know i am capable and deserving of a fulfilled, happy life!

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
i would say my closest friends would say that empathy and a supportive attitude is most important to me. i feel so deeply for others and i think it’s important to make sure the people in your life and people in general feel good about themselves! it takes a few seconds and barely any energy to make someone feel good about themselves, listening and just being there as a shoulder for others!

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
i feel most at peace when i’m laying on a blanket and watching the stars, seeing my clients thrilled reactions to their makeup or hairstyle when i show it to them, and cuddling on my couch with my card and my boyfriend watching movies!
