Meet Wendy Darling

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wendy Darling.

Hi Wendy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My career evolved from being a 6th-grade teacher for a year, returning to college to receive two graduate degrees (Counseling Psychology and post-graduate work in Organizational Development), being Dean of Students with Semester at Sea at 28, then developing a career as a management and organizational development consultant.

Today, I have had my own business for 41 years. But in 1990 I had a life-altering event. I was under contract with a Fortune 100 company, traveling all over the United States. On this one trip, I was flying from Texas to LA. Unfortunately, I was VERY sick. I went outside the airport to get some fresh air, but I passed out and fell 25 feet.

My leg was shattered and required multiple surgeries over a 10-month period of time (when I finally learned I would be able to walk again). I also had back fractures and wore a brace for several months. I was much later diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury, which I have been able to recover from fairly well.

But the next challenge came around week 4 of being in the hospital, My former husband came, suitcases packed, saying he no longer wished to be married. Although I take full responsibility for my portion that contributed to that decision, you might agree the timing was not exactly optimal (not that it ever would have been).

But the real blow came when we went to court. My former husband is an attorney and he was awarded full custody of our son, who was only 4 at the time. I broke into a million pieces. My mom suggested that I learn to meditate. At that time, quieting my mind was an oxymoron. But this is when my life began to get better.

I remember sharing with my instructor that every time I almost felt that my mind was going to relax, I felt this urge to sing. He encouraged me to do so. I started laughing, sharing that I actually had people in my life that asked me not to sing! He rolled his eyes and encouraged me to give it a try, which I did. This melodic type of singing came out of me, and for the first time in a very long time, not only did my mind begin to relax but so did my body.

There are many more details, but this was the beginning of me receiving and cultivating what I now refer to as the Miraculous Living Method. I’m able to see and find anything interfering, holding you back from experiencing the results you deeply desire. Not only do we release the interference, but there is also a brain training component, a critical rewiring of your thoughts, to be able to shift your identity, your previous, erroneous story that has caused this interference.

I assist business owners to grow their businesses and make more money; I work with singles to attract love; I support couples to replenish their relationships, I also work with those who want to improve their health and release excess weight. I have also had the wonderful opportunity of working with youth that is facing challenges in school and in their personal life.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Was this an easy or smooth journey? At first, absolutely not! But the gifts I have received, and the skills I’ve acquired over the years allow others to get THEIR results easier and faster. For that, I am forever grateful.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happy? So much! My friends and family make me very happy.

They mean the world to me. I am blessed and grateful for my clients. Working with them, seeing their lives shift, and experiencing the lives they previously could only dream about, is truly rewarding and makes me very happy.

Being able to be outside, by the ocean, makes me very happy. I live a content and happy life. (And it was not always been that way). And now, beginning a new life in Sarasota (moving from San Diego) at the sweet age of 71 makes me very happy, as well.

What else should we know about what you do?
I have written two books: The Miracle That Is Your Life and my most recent book is Create Your Miraculous Life – It’s NEVER Too Late
