Life and Work with Louis Garcia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Louis Garcia.

Hi Louis, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in church but it wasn’t till the age of around 13 that I really gave my life completely to Christ. At the age of 16, God calls me into preaching ministry. At the age of 22, I released my first album with the widely successful song “PELEA.” Since then, I have been given the privilege to travel the world preaching the gospel and singing to the Lord. I currently have 11 albums to date. I am also the CEO of On-fire productions record label. This production company records music and also does photography and videography. I am currently working on two new studio albums and filming and directing my very first film titled “Todavia Dios No Ha Terminado.” My goals are to continue doing the work of God through music, preaching, and film and one day become a pastor of my very own church. My message is clear: “I love God with all of your heart and do unto others as you would have done to you. The message is and will always be … “Love”.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I definitely have struggles along the way especially seeing so much indifference even within the church. In my early years of ministry, I struggle deeply with grasping the fact that within the church not everyone is saved. Through ministry, I’ve learned to deal with people from all walks of life. Someone bless you encourage you and become steppingstones to your success. While others will try to stop you betray you or just flat out ridicule you. But I’ve learned through it all that God is not at fault and that my worship should never be determined by what is going on in my life whether good or bad. I’ve learned to not focus on the negative or my own personal failures but rather in God‘s love and unconditional mercy. I have cried I have a question God, I have doubt it and I have struggled but through it all, I have seen God’s grace and power manifested in my life.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am known in the Christian world as my artist name “Fosforito”. His name was given to me by accident in my high school. Some friends were kidding around calling me a “fosforo” which means a match stick. Obviously, this was said because of my red hair and I was really skinny and white. But as the years past, they called me this nickname not because of my hair but because of the fire of God in my life. Nowadays I am known as an international evangelist and recording artist. Now in 2021, I am currently celebrating 23 years of ministry.

How do you define success?
I believe success is not determined by the amount of money you can accrue over the years nor by the amount of fans or followers on social media. Success is not about awards, plaques, or certificates of recognition. Success would be measured by how much of an impact you’ve had on other people and how much your soul has grown. The Bible teaches us that what does it matter for a man to gain everything in this world and lose his soul. Success is not a physical thing it is a spiritual and emotional thing. Success can be measured with the impact a man or woman has in her home. I would rather be a poor man who is a good father than a rich man whose son has no clue who he is.
