Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordashia Watson.
Hi Jordashia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m a Mom of a brilliant 17 month old girl, native of Bradenton, Florida, entrepreneur, sports enthusiast and graduate of Webber International University ‘19.
I’ve always had a passion for creativity and helping others in general. I played sports throughout my childhood and in college, and have always loved to learn and create things with my hands. This is why Lit6 Fashions is so important to me – I get to bring my ideas to life through clothing, and encourage people to just do what they love.
Today, I enjoy the perks of being a stay-at-home Mom and working on my business Full-Time. And I can proudly say that the made up fashion brand I created in middle school (Jayco Fashion) has somehow manifested a business that is known for its authenticity, its bold products, and a mission to inspire others to #BeYouBeLit.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Lit6 Fashions started in 2016 and launched on my birthday the following year. My best friend, Taylor, and my daughter’s Dad, Hendel (AKA Blaka1st), helped me with the logo, name, and some early sketches. During that time, I was a freshman in college and my intention was to create a hat line. I was fond of hats and found that it was both a necessity and an accessory I wore regularly. I fell in love with the logo that Taylor created in her iPhone notes, and Blaka and I teamed up to create some prototypes that are now featured on our hats, apparel tops, shorts sets and our sweatsuits dropping soon.
Today I’m the sole owner of Lit6 Fashions LLC, and I simply love what I get to do. I am constantly learning more about marketing and strategies to help grow my business, and I am using my skills to run a custom shirts business on the side!
All in all, what I considered as obstacles are simply things that I have learned are both essential and commonly overlooked when starting a business. Content planning, budgeting and research are the true BTS stars. It’s been 5 years since my brand was formed; today the main focus is to create a solid marketing plan and define our target audience so that we connect with our ideal customers and become more profitable in the years to come.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
I was created to create and help others.
Being a Mother, working on myself and my business brings me joy every day.
I love the process of designing a new logo, putting it to life with my Cricut, and then ironing that finished design onto a garment for someone to wear. Whether it’s a customs order or for my personal brand, it makes me proud that something I create brings joy to someone else.
As long as I am working, growing and becoming the best version of myself, I’m happy.
Life is meant to be Loved, not just lived.
Find what you love, and do that everyday. That’s one way to #BeYouBeLit
