Exploring Life & Business with Jasmine Chanelle of The J Chanelle Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Chanelle.

Hi Jasmine, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
After 10 years in corporate marketing and branding, I decided I wanted something different.

I started building my business using my nights and weekends to build a brand and serve clients. In 2018 that business surpassed my corporate salary and led me to take the leap into full-time entrepreneurship.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My biggest struggle in the early stages of my business was trusting my expertise. I spent years undercharging for my services, doubting my abilities, and unsure if I was truly cut out for entrepreneurship.

Now, I help my clients work on their mindsets before quitting their jobs so they can avoid self-doubt, undercharging, and impostor syndrome in their transition from employee to full-time entrepreneurs.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
At the J Chanelle Group LLC, we focus on equipping corporate employees with the strategies and tools they need to turn their side hustles into full-time money so they can plan their corporate exit and have more freedom and flexibility with their time.

We are most well known for our Mom2Mogul program where we have helped more than 200 corporate mamas launch businesses and helped 12 of them successfully quit their jobs and become full-time entrepreneurs.

I created the Mom2Mogul brand to give everyday moms access to an extraordinary life through entrepreneurship because so many women lose their ambitions after becoming mothers and wives.

For years, I watched my mother, aunts, grandmothers, and friends sacrifice their own dreams and lives for the sake of motherhood. I didn’t know anyone who was a mom and also making decent money or taking care of themselves well.

I began exploring the idea of building a side hustle so I could have extra cash for things like family vacations and the debt-free wedding my husband and I were planning. So my first business was born.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
My entrepreneurial journey has not been easy.

Before the six-figure brand, thousands of followers, and sold-out launches, I made a lot of rookie mistakes… Like only charging $100 for services I now charge thousands for, putting out tons of content without knowing my niche, and quitting my job prematurely without a plan. Things led me right back to corporate when my first business failed.

That’s why I made it my mission to help corporate moms turn their side businesses into full-time money so they can exit corporate and experience more freedom- but to do it the right way. With strategies and systems in place to support building sustainability and financial security BEFORE you quit your job.
