Exploring Life & Business with Jae Baldizzi of RELI Marketing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jae Baldizzi.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve always had a passion for entrepreneurship and admired those who were brave enough to take the leap from social norms and start a business.

My journey started “behind the scenes” when I picked up a gig at a local production company as an assistant. I had the opportunity to work with big-name companies. It was crazy to see the creativity and collaboration of the team, putting so much thought and energy into what boiled down to a 60 second commercial. It was the real deal — I was hooked.

In college, I studied marketing and entrepreneurship, and picked up a few side gigs working with small businesses to apply what I was learning – Creating online courses, planning events, and public speaking in the community like Big Brothers Big Sisters and Jacksonville Chamber Events. Once I graduated, I landed in an office… It was not long before I realized I wanted to be my own boss.

A strong female entrepreneur said to me, “Once you have the tools in your toolbox, it’s time to set up shop. I regret not doing it sooner…” So, that’s exactly what I did. I had them in my toolbox… It was time to set up shop.

Now, I get to collaborate with business owners across various industries to breathe life into the brand they’ve created and accomplish the goals we set together.

I admire the journey — I never know what the next day will bring! One day, I could be walking Santa into a shopping mall for a Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration, and the next day I could be photographing charter yachts for the buildout of a new website and social media campaign.

I am grateful for the opportunity to live this life and (hopefully) inspire others to do the same!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Everyone has struggles… That’s life! But you can’t control the struggles — only how you react to them.

One of the biggest obstacles I faced is finally taking the leap to start my own business. Trust your gut, know your worth, and do not let people manipulate you into thinking you can’t do it. Entrepreneurship is cyclical. Sometimes, you feel like you are on top of the world, and other times, it feels like you are being held under with a ball and chain around your ankles.

It’s easy to get in your own head, doubting yourself and what you are capable of… Surround yourself with others who believe in you and will cheer you on when the going gets tough. A positive mindset is everything!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
To own a business is to be on a journey.

I started RELI Marketing because I wanted to give all small businesses the opportunity to have full-service marketing without the headache of trying to learn on their own or hiring a larger marketing company where you don’t have a close relationship. From website design, social media management and advertising, or CRM setup, to sales collateral and beyond — Anything marketing your business needs, short-term or long-term, we are here to help.

I help business owners along their journey and their customers along theirs’. You never know what the journey will bring, but it’s always an adventure.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
“Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.”

While I do not believe in flat-out luck, I do believe you can be prepared for when the opportunity arises. Then, take advantage of it!
