Daily Inspiration: Meet Trisha Noel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Trisha Noel.

Hi Trisha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Two good photographer friends of mine named Terrol Henderson & Aramis Booker has constantly encouraged me time after time again to try out model. As many photographers keep their eye for “the look”. They saw that I have “the look”. So, after going back and forth with myself I decided to give it a try. I knew if I did not enjoy I then I could just stop. So, finally making time I did my first photoshoot with Terrol. Since then, I’ve been featured in multiple magazines, and have been given opportunities I would have never thought I could ever do! I have been loving EVERY chance/moment I get to be behind the camera. Without God, the love & support of my friends and family I don’t think I would be where I am today! Over a year and nine months going strong now! It has truly been a great humbling and learning experience throughout this journey.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing in life you do will ever be a smooth road. It’s how you handle what comes your way that determines the outcome. The main two struggles I have dealt with have been:

1. Not everyone will support you.

And that is okay. Remember your true ones will support without you even asking.

2. Not all designers and photographers like / want your look.

And that’s okay. It comes with the territory of this industry.

Overall, at the end of the day, I try my hardest to not take anything personally. I have my moments where I get sad about either not being picked for fashion show or think about why people I invite out to my shows why don’t they come? What can I say? I have feelings too, I’m human.

Although disappoint is never a great feeling I find ways to help turn my spirts around. I do things like eat :D, go for a walk, pray/ mediate. These are a few of many things I do to help bring up my spirits. :).

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I currently work in child welfare doing data entry. I have a background working with children; ages newborn to eighteen. From nannying, various positions at church camp, grade school substitute teacher, primary schooling, and taking on a leadership role. I’ve always enjoyed taking care of children. They are spontaneous and will always keep you on your toes.

What I am most proud of is that fact that I haven’t gave up. I am not allowing life to get the best of me. I will not and cannot allow life’s day-to-day activities affect me.

I am known for being LOUD! ;D I am Haitian and I try my absolute best y’all, but mannnnn! I can’t seem to help lol Aside me being loud 😀 I would a lot of my friends could describe me as “happy go lucky!”. I try my best to stay positive as much as I can. I try to spread love and positivity and lend a helping hand whenever I can.

As cliché as this may sound… What sets me apart from others? is ME! I not your ordinary person. I’m wild, fun, creative, spontaneous and the list goes on. I try to live my true authentic self. Representing not only who I am as a person. But also representing my family’s lineage. The Noel name means so much to me. Not because it’s Christmas in French :D, but because my parents Yrenie & Leonce Noel came to the states to make a way for my siblings and I. My parents busted their ASSES OFF to provide for us. They showed us the TRUE DEFINITION of having work ethic #TheIslandWay and what hard work can produce for you in life. I cannot let them down by any means!

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
In this crazy modeling world of mine the most important qualities/ characteristics you need to have in order to succeed is humility, a positive attitude, punctuality, MAJOR FLEXIBILITY, and most importantly love.

Anyone can look good, but without staying grounded the industry will eat you up and spit you back out!
