Daily Inspiration: Meet Leticia Nogueira

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leticia Nogueira.

Hi Leticia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I have always been in love with photograph since my childhood in Brazil. I remember my mother taking pictures of me with old cameras and how much I used to love that!

When I was fourteen, my parents gifted me my first professional camera and a ticket to Europe. I traveled alone, learned a lot, and photographed everything around me. When I got back to Brazil, I knew what my passion was and my parents encouraged me to keep practicing and learning photography.

When I came to visit the United States, I saw beautiful things everywhere and took pictures to keep with myself and share with my family. Everybody loved my travel pictures and my job in Brazil has improved a lot!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I do not consider it as obstacles, but I have to divide most of my time among the photograph, my law degree, and my foreign language studies. It is hard to reconcile everything, but I always seek more knowledge and, sometimes, those things can be sight as obstacles instead of steps.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a photographer, which means I am also an artist. My work is find beauty everywhere I look and make other people see that too when they look at my photographs.

I am most known as a natural portrait photographer, because I love mix nature elements, as flowers, sunlight, and landscapes with my models, creating a photograph with something special, full of feelings, sensations, and memories.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
When I meet my clients for the first time, they do not even imagine I have another life besides the photography.

It was always my dream to become an attorney. I work as a law firm intern during the day, I go to the university at night and I study really hard at weekends. My energy is fully dedicated to my readings and searchings!

I am fluent in Portuguese, English and I am current learning Italian and Spanish. I really love learning new languages and dedicate my time to this too.

And something surprising is that all my profits with the photograph I invest in my law books because these are extremely expensive and I need it to study!
