Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My early 20’s were all about self-exploration – Figuring out what I liked, what I didn’t like, letting go of relationships I thought would last a lifetime, sometimes feeling alone in this big world, there were also many victories…Navigating real life can be hard enough on its own much less working in the entertainment industry and living in New York City at such a young age.

As a hopeful actress, I took a liking to what the people who were helping me get to that “next level” did for a living. With a great support system, a few hiccups, and lots of hard work – I am blessed to be where I am today. I picked up photography and worked as an Agent for a while along the way. With continued dedication to the craft, I’ve found my growing success in Casting.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My mission in life is to create, cultivate and conquer. As a Casting Director, my job is to bring someone else’s vision to life through actors…Finding individuals who encompass everything my end client needs in a character.

Currently, I’m wearing a new hat…I’ve taken on the role as a Showrunner for Docuseries with my partner Dr. Evan Lindbergh that we’ve produced/created from scratch. Professionally, it’s been the most rewarding process to watch come together. It’s most definitely my proudest venture in my career yet – I can’t disclose more than that at this time but it’s a very meaningful project with a lot of heart. AND Tampa based!

As far as what sets me apart – I think there’s creative room for us all and many stories to be told. I strive to be a leader that can also be led, a teacher that can also be taught and give credit/respect where it’s due.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I’m not sure if this is a characteristic but having an eye and ear for the “IT FACTOR” is where it all starts. Being able to spot potential and running with it when the right people cross your path. I work in an industry where everyone wants a piece of the pie. I think it’s important to acknowledge that when handling individuals who are green to the industry. While it’s very easy to become annoyed by a “stage parent” or someone asking 20 questions – I always try to have compassion and patience. I think there’s a misconception that people in my world are scary when in reality, you’re the person coming to me trying to make a name for yourself. As a Casting Director, I realize I’ve put myself in an accessible position kind of like a target. Knowing where to create balance between my personal and professional life is important. At the end of the day, I’m not impressed by “fame” or “money” – What I appreciate is the art of my industry. I want to work with people who feel the same…Once you realize this, you’ll find that all of the other stuff falls in line. Maintaining a level head through my own successes and the success of others is key.
