Today we’d like to introduce you to Cari Florez.
Hi Cari, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my journey in health & wellness over 10 years ago.
I worked as a health advocate for low-income seniors for several years before getting certified as a Holistic Health coach. The reason health & wellness became my passion is because of my own personal struggles with an eating disorder as a young adult. I learned that wellness encompasses physical, psychological & nutritional components.
In order to have long-term success, all 3 components ought to be in line with your personal health & wellness goals.
Today, I enjoy advocating for good health and plant medicine. As the founder of Florida Hemp Olympics, I have an opportunity to inform my community of the benefits of Cannabis.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Some of the struggles along the way have been experiencing Cyberbullying.
I’ve been a target of online harassment. That led me to become a Bronze supporter of the Cyber Smile organization. Where 100% of proceeds go to educating & providing help to those experiencing cyberbullying.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
You should know that the Florida Hemp Olympics is all about community outreach, support & education.
We participate in several local events by raising money for causes, educating about medicinal cannabis, and having fun playing games related to cannabis skills.
We are known for unique, fun, and interactive experiences. We are an inclusive like-minded community of volunteers.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I hope to see cannabis legal in all 50 states in the USA. Our goal is to remove the stigma of cannabis use.
