Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Maxine.
Amanda, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey started in high school back in New York, I had the ability to choose my art classes and naturally, I was drawn to try out Photography and end up loving it! I had the opportunity to purchase my first DSLR camera which was a Nikon d3300.
I’m not going to lie it was intimidating to use at first since I was so comfortable taking photos with my iPhone. It took me at least a year to overcome my fear and learned my gear but it was so rewarding in the end. The major key is practicing and creating the vision I had come to life.
I realized how much I loved shooting portraits and expressing my creativity through colors and fashion. Today, I continue to work on creative projects, connect with other creators, and pursue my dream as a full-time photographer.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There are always obstacles we have to face and overcome. I struggled with self-doubt and it was holding me back from creating and sharing my work with everyone.
I have come to realize that I can’t grow if I continue to limit myself. In the end, the greatest obstacle in life is yourself. So do that thing you love the most!
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Being in the moment makes me happy.
I get to enjoy the simple things such as watching the sunset and surrounding myself with my favorite loved ones and my 3 fur babies. I love new life experiences and even the challenging ones.
Growing and learning as a person and most importantly creating art and being the photographer behind the lens. Being in control of my happiness and enjoying the ride we call life!
