Conversations with Celeste, Rebecca and Rachelle of Suncoast Welcoming Committee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Celeste, Rebecca and Rachelle. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Celeste and Rebecca moved here from Illinois. When they moved, they had to start over since they moved from out of state. As moms, they had to not only figure out things for themselves but also for their families. Both families moved here not know anyone but met a year after Celeste moved here to Florida. They met while playing Pickleball and later decided on starting a business together. They started Suncoast Welcoming Committee. They welcome new homeowners into the area with a bag full of promotional items from local small businesses. They go door to door and attend community events.

Recently after their business celebrating a year anniversary they added on a business partner, Rachelle, also a transplant but from California. They also recently launched their affiliate program which now welcomes others to join them around the country as part of the Welcoming Committee. They get to be their own boss, set their own schedules and run the whole business on their own. Perfect for stay at home moms!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I would say there were learning curves. We have “perfected” the company enough to invite others to join us so that’s a good thing! Like any new company, you buy and try things hoping it works. Some things were perfect, some needed tweaking, some just didn’t work.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are the Welcoming Committee. We go door to door making sure people feel welcome. We give them a bag full of goodies from local small businesses. We help small businesses grow. It’s a lot more than just a bag. We fill our cups every time we go out. It makes us happy.

What matters most to you?
Helping people feel welcome, helping businesses grow and knowing their stories.
