Community Highlights: Meet Larease Trotman of Pretty Little Me Spa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Larease Trotman.

Hi Larease, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Prior to the pandemic, I worked as a case manager and by the summer of 2020, I was ready for a change of scenery and more fun throughout my day.

I previously owned a spa for girls 10 years ago called Ooh La La Salon and Spa for girls here in Brandon, FL. I enjoyed having the spa then and wanted to give it another try. Once I made the decision to open the spa my husband and I made it happen.

We’ve been open for just over a year and a spa is truly an amazing place for children.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road was bumpy. Finding a location was the hardest and longest process. My main struggle was finding a location that did not have a nail salon already located in the plaza.

Almost every plaza has a nail salon and even though the spa catered to children only, it was still a nail spa. It took about 6 months for me to find a location.

As you know, we’re big fans of Pretty Little Me Spa. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Pretty Little Me Spa is a spa for children between the ages of 3-13 years old.

We specialize in the spa, tea, and paint parties. We offer spa packages and small group packages. Our spa services include manicures, pedicures, facials, and make-up. We also have a package for brothers to enjoy as well.

I’m most proud of the overall experience and service provided by my girls. They make sure every child is pampered.
