Check Out Stefanie Dozier’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stefanie Dozier. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Stefanie started her creative career in 1999. Stef’s Events has morphed and changed over the years, but the one thing that has remained a constant is Stefanie’s focus on creativity. The essence of her business is Event Planning and Management and Creative Marketing Services.

Over the last two decades, Stefanie has worked with many memorable clients, managing a variety of their creative projects. She has completed marketing assignments and managed events, big and small, for individuals, small businesses, organizations, Fortune 500 companies, and even a few political figures! She is highly organized and detail-oriented. Stefanie’s Creative Services range from marketing campaigns, graphic design, content creation, photography, and editing to every aspect of event planning and management (from theme development to thank you)! As an Event Planner and a professionally-trained Culinarian, Stefanie works directly with only the finest-quality, most-reputable vendors. Her Event Planning services are available for weddings, birthdays, corporate, nonprofit events, and more. And her Creative Marketing Services are available to clients big and small, on short-term or long-term basis.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have been in the creative business since 1999. My business consisted of marketing, event management, and travel planning. It all flows together, whether you are working with an individual client on a wedding and honeymoon, or a corporate client with larger events and tradeshows. Along the way, I have seen great and terrible economies, which have affected my business accordingly. I have planned many weddings and corporate events. I have planned birthday parties that were over $10k. It all varies with the client, and sometimes the economy. I recently closed the travel side of my business, at least temporarily, due to COVID changes, restrictions, and cancellations. It’s been a very difficult time for travel over the last 20 months. Right now, I am choosing to solely focus on event planning and creative marketing. I love creative services of all kinds!

I go with the flow, “My Business Has Changed And Morphed Over The Years, But One Thing That Has Remained Constant Is My Focus On Creativity.”

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I have spent my career creating and working through a range of unique experiences. Some of my favorite long-term endeavors include three years as the Marketing Event Coordinator for a municipal-related business, four years as a newspaper Editor and Layout Designer, three years collaborating with the marketing department of a Fortune 500 company, many years managing short-term marketing projects for corporate clients, and many more years planning both personal and corporate events and travel.

I am extremely detail-oriented in everything I do. I bring creative flare and artistic inspiration to every project! I love creative work, but I also love writing, grammar, and editing. Photography and photo editing is also one of my hobbies, I love when I have the opportunity to use many talents in my projects.

I love making my clients happy. Getting an awesome note of thanks from a client is really the best feeling! Client compliments make my days!

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I live in Trinity with my husband and youngest daughter, Sedona. We homeschool her now for the last 5 years. We love the area. We are close to all of the great beaches, and there is so much to do with an hour or so of our home. There are many amazing places to go and things to do. As homeschoolers, I run a large group (Gulfside Art & Science Academy – GASA) of over 1,000 families and plan field trips and events. We always have great educational opportunities and businesses that are friendly and opening their doors to us. Some of our favorites include the many museums, nature centers, and Tampa Bay Watch Discovery Center on the St. Pete Pier for hands-on science labs! We also do a lot in Orlando, like the Emeril Lagasse Foundation (Kitchen House and Culinary Garden) Cooking Classes for the kids. The list is LONG! We have an awesome community. We have lots of shopping and everything is close by our home.

The con – It is getting pretty crowded, and our roads are congested. There are a lot of car accidents happening nearby on a regular basis…
