Check Out SimiSola Mitchell’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to SimiSola Mitchell.

Hi SimiSola, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Well, I started taking pictures from a vacation that I went on with my husband, then-boyfriend. At the time, I found that it soothed me, it turned into a passion with landscape, and I did that for about 3 or 4 years. And then I said, I want to be better, so I applied for jobs that would have me take pictures of people it started with the charm school, then I moved on to a life touched, and now I am moving forward with my own business, I started in this business very late 46 years old, and I have goals that I’m going to reach, but at the same time, I’m enjoying every second of my journey which has brought me into a life of living a more healthier and wellness, spiritually, physically and emotionally, I love photography, I love everything about it and my passion is boudoir seems to like me, so I’m taking it one step at a time. This is my journey so far…

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road, I had a lot of growing to do, I lost 3 immediate members in my family, my mother, my father and then my sister within a three-year time period, and also had a baby within that time period, moved and gotten better, put myself through school practice and still practicing …all of this through COVID-19🦠😷, there wasn’t any work there is still no work, it was very hard, it’s still no work! it’s been very hard, we’re still in COVID.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Well, I specialize in boudoir photography. I am all about empowering women for them to feel more beautiful about their bodies and themselves and loving themselves and telling themselves that they love themselves, keeping them connected to who they truly are, and who they truly want to be, I’ve done portraits, I’ve done children portraits. Branding seems to like me and I love it, I feel like Branding is another way of putting your stamp on who you are with your art, craft, and getting it out there for the world to see, this is me, this is who I am, this is what I want to be there it is boom. 💣💥

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Sacred Crowns which is on IG and FB helped me do a lot of branding because she owns her own business Ripe Brand Clothing a new up-and-coming brand which is moving up so fast.
